This is a wonderful local gem that sometimes can be overlooked with so many newer places in nearby towns. I had to find a venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner and due to restaurants just beginning to open up, I found our options near our...rehearsal were very few. I was so happy that someone reminded me to try Ripa’s! They were excellent to work with, very accommodating and also respectful of current restrictions. We were able to have a banquet room for 32 of us with bar service. I was able to bring in my own table decorations to add a personal touch. Servers Peggy and Sharon were awesome and very accommodating. Tony Ripa was friendly and easy to work with when arranging and planning the menu. And the best part was that the food was delicious!More

I went with 2 friends. One friend had the pork chop dinner. The chop came sizzling on the plate. It was huge. My friend ended up with another dinner with his left over.My other friend had the eggplant parmegiana which she enjoyed . I had...the French Onion chicken which was served over pasta with French Onion soup sauce. I ordered the half plate and still had enough left for a lunch. We shared the Onion Loaf which was very tasty. The service was very good too.More

My wife and I were looking for someplace we had not been in a while so off we went. I know the restaurant well after eating the for almost thirty( Yes 30) years once a week. The menu seemed to be about the same and...the food was stell excellent. The Italian Dipping Oil, house dressing and overall GOOD food, Ray and Ennio still own the restaurant. We had the Italian Broiled Fish which is their special dish and still good. They have many dishes which are their specialties but the Broiled Fish was around when their Uncle owned the restaurant.More

here's the spiel: us Red Hat Chicks went to Ripa's Restaurant for LANCASTER OPERA HOUSE'S production of "FINNEGAN'S FAREWELL". it was FANTASTIC! every member of the cast was very talented not only in acting, but in singing as well. the jokes were plentiful, and the...inter-action of the cast with the audience was memorable. before dinner, we were told that we were going to have: "a 7 course meal---a 6 pack & a potato." the crowd roared. dinner did consist of salad, chicken, green beans, potatoes, rolls & butter & ice cream for dessert. and the servers were FANTASTIC as they brought everyone their food. we had a FANTASTIC, fun-filled evening and I gotta say, I wouldn't mind seeing this again. I would tell you more about the performance, but I really don't want to spoil it for you. it is a must see.More

What a nice place. The servers were so cheerful and kind. The atmosphere was peppy without being overly loud. The soups were solid. The homemade pasta was hearty without being to heavy. Great red sauce. Drinks are a good value. The entire group was happy...with the meal and evening. We would go backMore

Although just 3 miles from where I’ve liv d for almost 2 years, it’s the opposite way than 99% of everything else so it’s easy to forget it’s there. So with friends in town for my birthday and not totally familiar with the area I...googled Italian restaurants and this came up with the ad indicating they make homemade pasta, a plus for me. The food was great as was the service. We had a very pleasant experience and will certainly frequent the place often now.More

The Ripa family was so easy to work with when planning a memorial luncheon right after Christmas. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We had several choices for the buffet menu. The wait staff was efficient and very kind. Loved the hot rolls...that kept coming out! The dessert tray of cakes and brownies flew off the buffet. The buffet was reasonable, and all the information was readily available on the website. Will return again.More

Went here with a group of 6 people and none of us like the food. Worst lasagna that I ever had! I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

We love to try fish fries at restaurants and opted for Ripas a few fridays ago. I had the char broiled fish which was excellent . I had too much food to eat so ended up taking some home for lunch the next day. The...food was great. My friend had the 1/2 fish and was equally impressed as I was. A place we will return too in the future.More
