Roadside little place well known for excellent ice cream. Thy make their ice cream fresh daily and therefore only offer two flavours. But its so good that you should just take whatever they have. Really worthwhile. We also had some food from their small menu: omelettes and an avocado filled Asian flat bread. Both were very good. Well worth a... More

We ordered and sat down, almost 30 minutes passed and we were told there was no milk for tea and if we'd like juice instead. Juice was fine with us. Another 30 minutes passed and we still had not received our juice and omelet we ordered. I went to check at the counter and they had put our omelets under... More

The ice cream at Inzozi Nziza is almost worth the 2hr drive from Kigali to Butare just to try. They're ice cream is just as good, if not better, than their benefactor Blue Marble in Brooklyn. It's a small shop located right on the side of the main road -- very easy to find. Inzozi Nziza is also the subject... More

A nice place where you can find the best icecream in Rwanda! They have 2 flavors daily and they change them everyday. You can choose the topping and you can add some biscuits or local "sweets". A nice initiative of the owner was to realize a list of the countries from where the clients come, and they have about 20... More

Excellent! Chapati with avocado and egg was fantastic, as is the ice cream. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars: it wasn't always open at predictable hours, and didn't have hours posted. But this is a minor, fixable issue. Check it out!

We went here to buy ice cream, and got the mix coffee vanilla ice cream! Good ice cream and a reasonable price.

This ice cream parlour - Rwanda's first-ever - was created through a partnership between the owners of an American ice cream business - Blue Marble Ice Cream - a group of women in Butare. While it is a for-profit enterprise, it was developed as a women's economic empowerment initiative. The ice cream is made on-site with local milk, sugar and other ingredients. And it's delicious! A must-stop visit for all visitors to Butare! Visit www.bluemarbledreams.org to learn more.
