The Kids wanted ice cream after dinner so we went to Emma's. the selection was just right. We tasted a few before we made our selections and we were all very happy with our choices. If ever we visit Lake Placid again (I'm sure we will) then we will DEFINATELY visit Emma's again.

We ordered one scoop in a cup, and it turned out to be a pretty big scoop! Apple pie ice cream was one of the most flavourful I've ever had. Snickerdoodle was fun. Limited seating. Old fashioned place.

Very friendly accomadating staff. Ice cream is good Hershey's but not made there. I also had maple soft serve. Good flavor but a little too soft.

I guess we're just used to and spoiled by Martha's Dandee Cream in Queensbury NY. We stopped in at Emma's for ice creamy and while it was very good quality (but not near as good as Martha's) the serving was tiny. A $3 small was literally maybe 2 or 3 twists of soft serve around the cone. Very poor compared... More

Funky old style decor in a brightly lit small space. Fantastic array of Sundays and other ice cream based desserts such as milkshakes and Malts. Note that there are only 2 tables for sitting but they turn over quickly and offer great people watching right at the front of the shop.

The place was packed and the line was out the door. The ice cream was so yummy. Its a long wait for your ice cream but worth it.

My sister and I really enjoyed the ice cream and the gentlemen who took care of us was very helpful and gave us great carryout dishes so we could take the desert back to our hotel room

Emma's serves up some fantastic ice cream. There's a huge assortment of favours and toppings. The store has a lot to look at inside which is a good thing as the lineups are long. Long but fast! The long line moves along a good pace, and if you ask you can sample a few flavours before deciding on one. The... More

Emma's offers multiple flavors of soft serve, Dole whipped and hard flavor ice cream. The raspberry soft serve was very good. My husband stated his coffee cappuccino was excellent. Staff was pleasant. Worth a trip while you are in town.

The ice cream was as expected - pretty cool little place which was a surprise- close quarters buts that's how we met fun people. Also really cool stuff there I hadn't seen since I was a kid like old time candy bars etc. where did they get them?
