We had what may be the best ice cream treat I have ever eaten. They made an ice cream sandwich from two large waffles filled with a tone of maple cream ice cream. Maple syrup, chocolate syrup, and topped with a maple sugar candy. We...are maple lovers, and this was to die for. Only regret is that we didn’t stop here until last day or our trip. Probably best for my waistline.More

The brown butter bourbon ice cream was one of the best things I have ever eaten. You can ask my husband, as that was what he ordered and he had to fight me away from his bowl. I had a raspberry chocolate ice cream of...sorts that was delicious... but his was even better. The only reason Emma's doesn't get 5 stars is it is a VERY small shop and during COVID they are doing what they can, but it is crowded and anxiety ridden (for me) in there. I stayed outside with my family and sent my husband in. I wish more parties of people did that as there were way too many people without masks (some who should have been masked -- clearly under 12).More

After having Donnelly's, then ordering soft serve at Emma's, there is just no comparison. The soft serve at Emma's is just average.

We visited Emma’s twice during our stay! The lines can be long but the only other obvious ice cream shop in walking distance was Ben and Jerry’s so we waited. They have LOTS of things- not just ice cream, which I imagine would be overwhelming...for small children. Lots of merchandise as well. I enjoyed the maple blackberry twist but my husband found it “disgusting”. My sister got a sundae with the maple creme and she loved it- Definitely give it a try if you are open to maple Flavored things. They also sold a graham cracker flavored ice cream similar to turkey hills graham slam- which my husband was delighted to find. The store doesn’t have seating but there’s a huge park about a block down with great views where we enjoyed our treats.More

They have a really vast variety of treats- there will definitely be something for everyone in your party. However, during the pandemic they did not follow guidelines. Yes, the only have one person come in to order at a time, but then they have everyone...wait for their purchase in a tiny, crammed corner of the shop. There were probably 10-12 other people in a very small area.More

They were closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They only allow a few people inside at a time for social distancing. They have ice cream, candy, t-shirts, magnets, fun souvenirs, many flavors of jarred peanut butter, etc. We love Dole Whip and tried the Dole Whip...smoothie. Made with orange juice, it was tart and refreshing. We also had the Moose Tracks (chocolate ice cream with peanut butter pieces) and Midnight Caramel River (chocolate ice cream with brownie pieces and caramel swirls). We would highly recommend both flavors of ice cream.More

On a whim we decided we wanted ice-cream and found ourselves waiting on line at Emma’s. It was worth the wait and we returned every night the rest of our trip. There are ample choices to satisfy anyone’s dessert craving. I had never had watermelon...bubble tea, but I gave it a try and it kept me coming back. The (5) kids had something different every night. Everything looked and tasted good. Emma’s is probably our new favorite place in Lake Placid and the prices are reasonable!More

DELICIOUS!!! Had a maple ice cream sandwiched between two Belgian waffles with caramel in between. Must try when you are in Lake Placid.

Their maple syrup soft serve is delicious. A very popular place right now on Main Street with long lines. But worth the wait if you have a sweet tooth.

Right now in Lake Placid there are limited choices. Ben & Jerry’s is closed, and their ice cream is much healthier. Emma’s only had a brand that has significant additional chemicals. And if you’re an organic person who wants to avoid extra food coloring’s and...preservatives Emma’s is a challenge. We went there once But given the line which can take 30 to 40 minutes, and the quality of the product we didn’t go back. The kids were happy for Ice Cream that one night and that was enoughMore
