Adventuresome drinking and even more adventuresome dining, best enjoyed in winter (pashmina scarves on the backs of the bar stools! woodstove!) Always comfortable, always warm and friendly. The connected butchery has a Blue-Apron-like meal plan that really rocks.

Would highly recommend to go in and try one of their amazing drinks. The bartender certainly knows what she is doing. A very laid-back, casual atmosphere with very interesting food and drink choices. You might want to prepare your wallet to take a major hit – certainly not cheap. They have an amazing fried brussels sprouts appetizer that is not... More

The hype about this place was lost on me. I've eaten at great restaurants all over the world and this isn't one of them. The good: -good drinks and great beer list -things started off well. The fried brussel sprouts app, small plates, and fries with their home made tomato dip/ketchup was all good The bad: The entrees were borderline... More

We went to this restaurant based on the reviews. The arrogant pretentiousness of the mixologist was unbelievable. After reviewing the drink menu, we asked for the gin drink to be mixed with either vodka or rum- whichever the "mixologist" preferred. "No, we won't replace the alcohol....our drinks are specifically made the way they are made"...Can we get the drink that... More

We visited L&S while staying near Lake Placid for my birthday dinner. I found the portions to be very small for the price.

This place is a unique experience. Their menu items are creative and original. Attached to a butcher shop, the restaurant uses local ingredients to prepare interesting foods with particular drink pairings. Although pricey - the time to taste is worth it. Especially for a special occasion or meeting with friends.

This was the weekend we discovered what it meant to be a 46er. After hiking our first of the 46 we were famished! After taking stock of the restaurants we saw on the strip we took to trip advisor and yelp for some recommendations. All signs pointed to L&S which was off the beaten path! We are definitely into inventive... More

No two meals can be the same at this remarkably hip yet delicious restaurant and bar. First. the drinks are beyond amazing and are always the center of excellence in your experience. Be adventurous as you cannot be disappointed. Second, order the brussels sprouts and one or two other plates for your starters. Third, order another plate for your entree.... More

And understand what mixology is AND you're visiting Lake Placid then you MUST visit Liquids and Solids. I don't know who's working the kitchen but they know how to build fabulous, complex dishes. Some of the best I've ever had. The front bar drinks are equally imagitive. You won't be disappointed.

Would not think of coming to Lake Placid and not eating here! Our oldest son found this place googling farm to table LP - they tried it, loved it, brought us here, we all return each time we make the trek. So, after skiing at Whiteface, it's a given to drink and eat here. We come on the early end... More
