Local creative DELICIOUS food!!! IF you love be adventurous with food this is a place for you. We went with my kids, 11 and 13, and we had plenty of options. Certainly not for the typical meals, you have to be willing to eat outside your comfort zone, but still absolutely worth it. The drinks were very good and the... More

We were first timers in Lake Placid and drove by this place on the way into the center of Lake Placid, where the tourism flourishes. The title of the restaurant intrigued us, and after walking around the center of town for a while and seeing that the restaurants in town would have a wait and probably be overpriced, I decided... First thing...this is not a family restaurant. We didn't know that going in but quickly figured it out. Huge beer list. Very unique combinations on the menu, both mixed drinks and food. Hubby loved the sweetbreads. Gnocchi combination was unexpected and delish. Tarte with amazing sweet orange ice cream for dessert.

After sifting through a very different and diverse cocktail and dinner menu, 2 of us chose the short ribs. With many unique items on the menu, this felt like a safe choice. The noodles and sauces were very good, but the short ribs were tough, fatty, and without flavor -- the worst short ribs I've ever had. We liked the... More

The food was certainly different and delicious! The service was very attentive and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. It is definitely a place to go as it is where all the locals hang out and their menu changes very often so as to give you new choices all the time...

The food was unique, but was over thought. The cocktails were good, and creative. Service, well...it felt like we were rushed, and not attended to as expected Maybe it was the time we arrived. Don't know...

Menus are always different that why I didn't give it a five I was looking forward to a specific meal and it wasn't there. The place is super nice and not kid friendly so I don't recommend bringing kids only bc the food is really different a delicious but not for kids

Adventuresome drinking and even more adventuresome dining, best enjoyed in winter (pashmina scarves on the backs of the bar stools! woodstove!) Always comfortable, always warm and friendly. The connected butchery has a Blue-Apron-like meal plan that really rocks.
