Got in last minute after a cancellation. Food was excellent as was service. Great social distancing & timer reservations. I hope they can thrive in spite of all the restrictions! Pork chop, wild boar chop & delicious salads.
The Stella reviews are well deserved at this restaurant. I had the duck which was very good and the side of potato, cauliflower and dried cherries was out of this world delicious. My son loved his burger which was cooked perfectly and was moist and...flavorful. My husband had the Salmon over lentils which was very good as well. Ashley our server was wonderful and very attentive to making sure we had a great dining experience.More
Having read other reviews on TripAdvisor, we booked a reservation at Salt of the Earth Bistro for our visit to Lake Placid. The restaurant setting is terrific, on the first floor of a house. The food was terrific and incredibly creative. The mulligatawny soup was...tasty and unique, and the pan seared magret duck breast was remarkable. The duck was cooked perfectly, and I still crave the side potato, cauliflower and dried cherry salad a week after visiting. We truly look forward to returning on our next trip to Lake Placid.More
Salt of the Earth is a quaint little restaurant. The menu is limited, which is ok for us but might not work for children or others with certain tastes, so check out their menu before you go. The Greek dip appetizer was fresh and delicious....The salmon dinner was good. They only serve beer and wine, no mixed drinks. We had a lovely dinner.More
Best meal so far in LP, and we have been to the View. Stuffed pepper and Mulligatawny soup as appetizers. The cheese in the stuffed pepper was a delight and the apples in the soup were stunning. Main course was a pork chop and venison...stew, both very tender and full of flavor. We ended the night with cheesecake and peach pound cake. Both great but cake was the best. Social distancing was good, Liz our server was great. It was a fun dinner.More
This restaurant didn't disappoint! I had an excellent piece of salmon over a French lentil salad that was tasty and delicious. I had hoped to sit outdoors but the table were well spaced indoors. The staff was friendly and helpful and made for a pleasant...meal.More
