Great outdoor seating and views and atmosphere. Friendly and good staff. However, the so called brisket sandwich was terrible. There did not seem to have been any effort to season the brisket to provide the classic flavor and/or aroma. Then it was the fattest and...poorly presented sandwich, as well. Poorly cooked to have the content of fat!More

A fantastic dinner meal overlooking Mirror Lake. Seafood dishes were fresh and wonderful. Brie was a great waitress. Will visit again.

I was in Lake Placid for a hockey tournament and when it was over, a teammate and I decided to have one last lunch before hitting the road. We stopped in the Dancing Bear and were asked if we wanted a table or to sit...at the bar. We said that it didnt matter and were brought over to the bar and were told that bartender David "The Goat" would keep us company. I am glad that we did. we had a nice conversation with David and he made our last lunch enjoyable. The food was very good too.More

Brunch was great. Good food and friendly service by Jody. We had sliders, eggs and turkey blt. Everything was super and the biggest cups of coffee you could ask for. Don’t be in a hurry, the restaurant seems understaffed but they honestly did their best.

Our first morning in the area we decided to dine at the Dancing Bears restaurant. We waited about 30 minutes to sit, which is pretty much customary for the area. After being seated, we were greeted by a rude waitress who never took our drink...order and questioned all of our menu choices. The menu items were overpriced. The food was ok but nothing to brag about. They served a biscuit with gravy with some meals and it was interesting to say the least. The biscuit was extremely dry and the gravy was served in a tiny, shot glass size container. We did not enjoy this meal at all. Go to The Breakfast Club across the street instead!!!More

Lines were out the door at “the most popular rated “ restaurants in the Lake Placid area. So we went to Dancing Bear on Main St. empty. I kid you not I had the best breakfast ever. The crispiest bacon. I had the 3 cheese...omelet. The home fries were deelish. We had a party of 8. The sweetest waitress. Forget Breakfast Club. Food there was alright but they are very rude as I’ve read in their reviewsMore

We stopped here because it had the best looking dinner menu (and being that we started at the other end of the main street, we looked at about every restaurant on the road). We had a nice table that was along the road, but overlooked...Mirror Lake. We split an appetizer and a pizza (both very good) and a delicious truffle bomb dessert! The service was prompt and friendly - one of the few stops that didn't show a lack of staff.More

Our family stopped in here for breakfast before leaving Lake Placid. The food was not good. Many of their breakfast items are pre-made like the potatoes and bacon. Very easy to tell they have been sitting in a warming tray rather then preparing when ordered....Asked for crispy bacon but came out like rubber. Potatoes were soft and warm, almost mushy. The coffee was good. The yogurt with fruit and granola was okay. I would compare the quality of their breakfast to that of a cheap buffet. The service was not good either. Our waiter spilled cream when bringing coffee and choose not to clean his mess. He never came by to check on us either. I have no interest in eating breakfast here during our next visit. I recommend you find another place.More
