My friend and I really enjoyed our Ethiopian cooking class with Sisko. She was really welcoming and taught us how to cook injera and other national dishes in her own kitchen with her daughters. The best local food I had during my 10 days in Ethiopia. The restaurant is basic, to say the least with no electricity but the staff are so friendly. They showed me the kitchen where the food is cooked over fire. The real deal.
Amazing food, great hospitality, the best we had in Ethiopia! We tried a mixed platter and a pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. Will come here again for sure!
I’m a female solo traveler in June 2021 I visited Lalibela and I went to this cooking class. This was an awesome experience. This nice lady who owns the restaurant she cooks with her two beautiful daughters, traditional Ethiopian food which tasted heavenly. There’s no...electricity everything is done old fashion in a very traditional Ethiopian kitchen. This was such a great experience I highly recommend it.More

Had a cooking class with Sisko, we had a great time and prepared injera with traditional fasting food and coffee ceremony. Sisko is a great and funny host, and we really enjoyed it.
A very nice place with a local feeling. The food is nice and the prices are decent. The lady that manages it is super cool.

Three of us did the cooking course with Sisco, who is really lovely. It was really interesting seeing the food prepared including injera. We ate afterwards, it was the best Ethiopian food we’d had on our 4 week trip (and I’m not saying that because...we cooked it). Note the cooking course is in the afternoon as the restaurant is very busy at lunchtimes.More
As the owners said.... "House is not good...food is good and Fresh!" Its a small house by a side of a road... With delicious food and traditional coffee.
From the outside it looks like the last place you would like to dine in, but the atmosphere inside in large thanks to the cook and host and the great food to follow makes this small restaurant to an unforgettable experience.
Cisco is a fantastic host! She opened up her kitchen for us and we cooked traditional food on fire. Making injera and all the different veggies was great fun. I will recommend it to everyone! It's a must if you are in Lalibela for few...days!More
Tasty food, either Ethiopian or Western. Pizza, lentil soup with lots of rosemary and Injera were all good. Cooking class was good fun. Takes a couple of hrs and you eat after. Just ask Siso, the owner, at breakfast. Although you are cooking over three...open flames so not advisable if you have any respitory issues. From the outside the appearance of the building is deceptive but you will know the place as you hear shrieks of 'welcome' from inside!More
Authentic Ethiopian food. We ordered the lentice and a pizza and everything was really good! The service was very nice and you can have a nice time in this place !
This place is currently #1 on Tripadvisor, and it shouldn't be. The food is good and cheap, and it's conveniently located for lunch while visiting the rock churches, but it's not remarkable and don't try to use the toilet!
