This restaurant is convenient if you are in the center of town... A good restaurant that caters to the stomachs of foreigners. I have eaten there for several years and have enjoy the food without any ill effects. I trust this restaurant.

Went for lunch after touring the churches. Went back for dinner a day later even though the hotel patrons were a bit annoying. Both meals were very good & very reasonable. Menu was very diverse, which is nice change for anyone in Ethiopia for an extended trip.

Big portions of delicious traditional food. Beautiful garden overlooking town. Interesting restaurant building decorated by local artists. The best place we found to eat in Lalibela. Excellent coffee ceremony

I asked my guide for an affordable accommodation and he showed me to this place. It was quite good price and I found this place to be perfect for me. Apparently the oldest hostel in Lalibela which was showing signs of ageing but! It was also located beautifully in the centre of town yet hidden away amongst flowers, bushes and... More

The stone churches at Lalibela are closed for several hours each day. This restaurant is close and has a nice outdoor seating area. I tried the gomen tibs. It was served in a clay fire pot. It was both good and more than I could finish. I met up with other travelers and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Service was good... More

Our guide took us to this restaurant for a quick bite. We passed by the rooms which were frankly not very inspiring. Looked very basic. Don't know the room tariffs so I really cannot say. However, the food was disappointing. My sons ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and cheeseburgers and both were...left uneaten after the first couple of bites. My... More

This review is only in reference to the restaurant. The hotel is in a beautiful area but I did not stay there and do not have an opinion of the same. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the service and food at the restaurant. Because there was a lot to look for on the menu, I decided to try something easy... More

After too much injera and upset stomachs, we chose to have chicken and steak at this restaurant. The menu is quite vast, and judging from the other tables in the place who seemed to thoroughly enjoy their food, I would say it was very good. Our experience was very average- I ordered the steak and asked specifically not to have... More

No seat, no paper, no hose or other water to wash with in the cubicle... And that's for guests?? Didn't stick around to try the food.

This is just what you'd expect from a more upscale restaurant in Lalibela: very good Ethiopian food. My girlfriend and I barely finished a single order of the meat Beyaynetu (M -- something, I forget the name). It was delicious as was the kifto bread. Portions were huge. Many other patrons had western style food, maybe they're burned out on... More
