Great views of the runway and you get to sit and watch planes land and take off. The food is very good and portions are large, coffee is always fresh and strong. The pancake or large if you can finish stack of 3 either your...hungry or have a tape worm. The eggs are very good and they always have so type of special. They don't take credit cards so bring cash !! Enjoy.More

Tried it today...French fries and onion rings were barely fried...pale and greasy. Bacon on BLT was black. The toast was so cold and hard I think it was a leftover from breakfast. Burger, fries, BLT and onion rings cost $24. I feel so cheated. We...eat out often and this was the worst.More

Excellent service. check...the specials board, the french-toast is outstanding. Fun place.More

Watch the planes take off and land while feasting on giant pancakes. Good coffee, good prices in a little bit of an off the beaten path location.

The food at this little cafe was beyond some meals we had at larger restaurants while we were visiting the Hudson River Valley. French fries were hand cut and fried to perfection. If you love seeing vintage aircraft then this is the place to land for...a good meal while watching the various aircraft come and go.More

If you like trying out unique out-of-the-way eateries, you'll love Tail Winds Cafe. Located in Dutchess County New York @ Sky Acres Airport, this gem of a restaurant is warm and welcoming - not to mention has AWESOME breakfasts! Try the waffles with fruit and...ice cream, or the omelettes - the chili omelette is one of my favorites! While you dine, you can watch the small planes land and take off which adds to the great dining experience to be had a Tail Winds. There's even a gift shop in the building to buy those balsa wood toy airplanes that we all loved as children - so bring the kids!More

Our motorcycle group has been meeting at Tail Winds Cafe for a couple seasons now to enjoy the amazingly delicious breakfasts and great service. We usually call ahead as we have over a dozen usual attendees and the owner at Tail Winds always sets up...an area for our group to sit together at. Waffles with fresh fruit are amazing as well as their omelettes. There's even a gift shop where you can buy model balsa wood planes for your kids to fly in the backyard when they get home!More

They were having problems with the landlord. Last I heard they were only open on the weekend but were closed for Easter.
