Hoffman House maintains a decent historical atmosphere. The pasta with scallops was fine, but I have ordered this both times I’ve been at the place and it was less than al dente.

The food we received was first rate and all enjoyed their lunch very much. The building is very historic and does not feel overly modernized which is fun. The french onion steak sandwich was amazing. This is as good as it gets in this area...More

First, some caveats. We went on Valentines Day, which was also a Friday this year, and were seated around 9 p.m. Due to the holiday and day of the week, this place was hopping all day long. This was made more challenging due to the...More

Solid if unspectacular food in a classic colonial-era setting. Good service. Syruppy caramel apple martini. My steak sandwich was very good. The fries were mediocre. Everyone else very much liked their fare.

The food continues to be excellent and the servers are friendly and helpful, attentive but not clingy. A bit pricier than some other places, but worth it. The dining rooms are small and relatively dark, and daytime parking is difficult, but c'mon--it's an old building...More

Thank you for your review. Yes, daytime parking is difficult uptown and unfortunately our parking lot is not adequate to accommodate all of our customers. Glad you were able to find a space.

Delicious drinks, food was terrific. Loved the ambiance. Great service. Will be celebrating my husbands birthday along with our granddaughter in a couple of week. Looking forward to having the prime rib!

We're from the area, and combined family and friends eat here regularly. The meals are always outstanding. Service and drinks are excellent. It's a stone house dating back to colonial times. Charming. There's 2 floors, 3 fireplaces inside and a patio for the warmer weather....More
