We had soup and sandwiches at this classic local eatery. The grill is right behind the counter, and the cook doubles as waitress. Not the cleanest, but nothing to make is worry. Delicious steak and potato soup the day we were there.

It's a greasy spoon without the spoon. They have staples like macaroni salad and gravy, homemade pies, and a grill that makes everything taste similar. But major bang for your buck. A lot of locals frequent

Breakfast all day / all night. Sometimes I want an egg/ sausage and cheese on a hard roll at lunchtime. The Miss Johnstown Diner makes the best! My brother got a perfect medium hamburger and we both left fully satisfied.

While eating our breakfast a cat walked from the back room. This must be a usual thing because the cook made no attempt to remove the cat from the Diner. Not what you want to see when you are out to eat. Breakfast was fine and the people were friendly. If you have time to kill while waiting for the... More

We drive by this place all the time, but never stopped. This weekend we decided to check it out, we were driving by and ready for lunch. It's a basic Diner menu, breakfast and burgers/sandwiches. We both got burgers. We were sitting at the counter in front of the grill, watching REAL burgers grilled in front of our eyes. It... More

The Miss Johnstown Diner or also known as the Greasy Spoon is one of the few old fashion home styles that you will find now days that is still up and running. Their staff is very hard working and bring their own personalities to work with them. Which is wonderful! Stewie is the cook and wait staff on the weekends... More

Took my brother out to breakfast last week at The Greasy Spoon known AKA Miss Johnstown Diner. It was about 11:30 but I wanted breakfast. Not a problem at this place. My favorite is their " sausage, egg and cheese" on a home baked hard roll. It is always great cause it's always the same. Cooked fresh while you watch... More

This is by far my favorite place for Breakfast. My friends and I always hit this Diner when we come up to go Mining for Herkimer Diamonds up at Diamond Acres. The service is great and everyone is always friendly. A lot of locals go there so it makes me feel like home. The food is always great and you... More

after being referred to the diner by a wonderful bookstore down the street, we were quite disgusted with the establishment. we were looking for some good home cooking... what we got was BLT that tasted of nothing but mayo, so much mayo on the sandwich that it turned the toast to soggy "bread". Our fries (also soggy) not only tasted... More

Great place for very late night snack after a night of bar hopping...only place open all night. Try the mac salad and gravy...sounds gross till you try it, local favourite.
