Living in South Florida, it was a welcome change to get very good Chinese food.
Started with Wonton Soup, good except wonton are doughy and Egg Rolls, old fashioned kind, big and very good.
For mains, I tried the Szechuan Shrimp, large shrimp with pes pods, baby corn, peppers, broccoli, and mushrooms. Very good but not spicy.
My wife ordered the Sautéed Eggplant with Garlic Sauce which she really liked.

Our friends recommended Orient Odyssey becasue we all like Dim Sum. It's a relatively small place so they do not have those push carts where you pick your dishes from the cart. Instead you order off a special Dim Sum menu and very fresh items are delivered to your table. You can also order take out. We really liked it a lot.

The types of dim sums or congees served in this restaurant are the same as The Orient in Bethpage, as far as I can see. The two restaurants are apparently related. One of the waiters confirmed to me.
The prices of dim sums and congees seem to be about 7% - 9% cheaper than those in The Orient. For my taste, I think some of the dim sums (such as Spring Roll and Bean Curb Meat Roll) made here are a little not as delicate and tasty as those in The Orient. But the Beef Tripe is as good as in the Orient. I may need to go back to The Orient to try again to confirm 😁

Been here previously on one of our trips to New York and decided to try it again.
Disappointed, very poor service, I had to ask 3 times for hot mustard and duck sauce.
Started with Wonton soup, 2 huge wonton that occupy almost the whole bowl, tasteless. Next egg rolls, very good, huge like the old time.
My wife tried the Shrimp stuffed eggplant, she thought it was just ok. I opted for the
Long Pepper with Shrimp, spicy with hot peppers, scallions, and green peppers, also just fair.
Last time here.

My husband and I live in the area. It is so nice having a local restaurant that we can show up on a Saturday night, without making reservations. The drinks are very good and reasonable. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. We always live the squid with ginger and scallion, but tonight we had the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce and the basil chicken. The wait staff is very friendly and the service is good.

We keep going back. On the weekends they do have the pushcarts with plenty of selections and a super desert with custard inside

Have visited this restaurant several times for a very satisfying and filling lunch. You can choose from an extensive listing of appetizers and small plates or order a lunch special for very reasonable prices. Particularly enjoy their large shumai and chicken with eggplant dishes.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times. In the beginning, it was good. Then we had an awful meal..Roast Pork Chow Fun was parched and the pork must have been several days old. We did complain. Now, we gave them another chance this weekend. We threw everything into the garbage. We tried vegetable chow fun, and it was no better than the last time. Their vegetable lo mein was awful. Chicken fried rice was tasteless and too dry to eat. Beef with vegetables was poor and the meat was tough. All of this, while standard and generally uninteresting fare, is something any Chinese restaurant should be able to do decently. We also had a tofu dish was was unrecognizable. We will not return. Sadly, it is our opinion that the quality of the food here has dropped considerably.

I still prefer coming here for their dim sum menu especially on the weekends. Lunch menu is quite adequate but somehow I am slow to repsond to their dinner menu. Yes the menu is quite varied and extensive with many Asian comfort staples, new exotic entrees and large party menu for family dining. The pricing is a bit higher for saving people a long drive out to Flushing but most Long Islanders are willing to pay for good Chinese food. Service could be a bit more attentive and warm but overall you do get a quality meal with value & good taste. Orient Odyssey covers this North side of Long Island well with authentic Chinese food while if you are on the South side, head to Fortune Wheel. Plenty of parking outside which is quite the bonus as if you were to drive out to Flushing, forgit bout it! There's something on the menu if you want something exotic or the usual Westernized Chinese comfort food. Recently they renovated/moved in new bench seating which is quite nice and comfy. I hope they didn't move out the chef/staff since there were many new faces. There were new style of Chinese entrees also added to the menu. So if you were used to the old menu, there's new stuff to wet your appetite. Happy eating and I'll see you around the table from the time to time. Grab a bench table!

Lunch was marvelous with attentive staff, extra clean restrooms, varied menu, and dim sum during the week! Reasonable. Easy parking. Lunchtime had every table filled.

Went here after going to the Milleridge inn village. Fairly empty served right away with tea,water and noodles. I order the crispy beef with ginger which was very tasty and my husband ordered the tangerine chicken plus some dumplings which was also good the dumplings were actually gyoza. The place was a little pricey.
After eating and paying the bill by CC the waitress comes back to our table and shows me the receipt my husband and I looked at it then looked at her confused it was signed for. soooooo here's the kicker. ( we gave a cash tip and left it on the table) ready she looks at the receipt and says there's no tip. such audacity expecting a tip and asking for it. I looked at her gestures to the cash tip on the table and said what you don't want a tip? She was so rude not to even apologize and says the servers all share the tip. Now mind you I always tip but I will never be going back there again that rudeness was too much for me sorry

Great tasty dim sum especially on the weekends! Come early and you won't have to wait too long for a table. Plenty of parking outside but you'll be amazed how many cars fill the spots up. Guess lots of people now are in the know of where to go for great Chinese food and dim sum.
Best server to assist is FRANCIS! He's helpful to answer any questions you might have and you'll always have the best service with him. Go for a culinary adventure and taste what great authentic Chinese food from Hong Kong taste like. Cantonese cooking at its finest no muss no fuss, no fancy smancy presentation just good eats! Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables!

Orient Odyssey has a new fresh start since management/ownership has changed. No more Tommy Tan but he has movedback to his original Orient Bethpage. His customers valued his opinions which he was key in establishing clientele. He often helped suggest different entrees to many new people needing guidance in selecting tasty Chinese dishes. Over here in Orient Odyssey is now popular and packed on the weekends with their many delicious selections of dim sum. A true experience for any novice but for people in the know, no need to drive out as far as Little Neck or Flushing to get authentic dim sum. Yes of course you will pay a little more than Flushing but there's parking outside which is a plus compare to how hard it is to get parking in Flushing or Little Neck. From the many faces of happy patrons devouring yummy Chinese food, this restaurant is worth coming! Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables when I get my crave for dim sum and don't want to drive so far! See you on the weekends for what I call Chinese Brunch:-)Delish!

One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants in Long island.
Every dish is prepared like in Chinatown. Every dish is really good. When you want traditional Chinese food, this is the place to go. Very reasonable prices.
