We enjoyed a delicious and relaxed late breakfast here. The masala dosa was tasty and the kathi roll with aloo was delicious. We also enjoyed the masala chai. We had attentive and friendly service from Abdur. We look forward to a return visit.

I'll just say that as a non-vegetarian, Dosa Delight really lived up to it's name! It was worth the trip to get out to the neighborhood- which has many many great food places, and I will add this place to my "must-go-to" list :)
High Points: the patience to explain everything to us; the varieties of dahl, the cute little silver drinking glasses, the music Low Points: n/a Unique Points: the incredible dosas and all of the various ways that veggies come here
Excellent Indian vegetarian food. Our waiter Sanju was particularly helpful with menu suggestions. Delicious food too!
The food was excellent. We ordered a few appetizers and main dishes. Almost all food items were very good. The service could be improved much more. We asked for a bottled water but got that after much delay.
Excellent Authentic South Indian restaurant! This restaurant is a gem. If you like the real thing this is the place to go.
The best place in newyork for the dosas.. very friendly staff and i loved the Pondicherry dosa !! Get a real taste of dosas at newyork too 😍😍
This place has recently changed hands and is now owned and managed by Tibetans / Nepalese and it continues to disappoint as a South Indian joint. Typical items like idli, vada, dosas are all uniformly without flavor and authenticity. Besides Samudra (which is also disappointing)...this is teh only South Indian place in this heavily Indian neighborhood.More
I was here today despite its average rating on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised! It is neat, tide and inviting. The staff is courteous and the food is divine. I ordered their Mysore Masala Dosa for the main course and Ice- Cream Faluda for dessert....Blown away. Their Dosa was AMAZING. The dessert was nice too, Additionally, I ordered their Madras coffee and it was very crisp. Overall I would say that their food is VERY flavorsome. My husband ordered their almond halwa: pretty rich and amazing. BUT their service is very slow. They take their own sweet time to bring you your food. It was worth the wait though!More
Popped in here for a quick bite. Actually, I wanted to try the madras coffee. They had an extensive menu containing many delicious dosas and other regional foods. We opted for the Pondicherry dosa along with madras coffee. The dosa was very filling, but very...spicy. I love spicy, just not used to that amount. No regrets though as it was delicious. It was hard deciding on just one item to eat, but it was all I needed as it filled me up. The madras coffee was nice and thick, very tasty. I would recommend to anyone who love dosa to come here. Service was extremely friendly! I would definitely come again.More
The food was quite good - both south Indian and others but service was very slow. You should have time and patience. When we went , the place had just opened and only 1/2 customers were there but still it took about 40/50 minutes for...taking and servicing our order. Food was quite good.More
We've been to this place few times, their south Indian dishes like dosa, vada, etc., are up to the mark however the north Indian dishes are not worth trying. Ambience is ok not great, staff is friendly and service is average. Some of the dishes...we've tried and recommend others to avoid are chole bhature, pau bhaji and thali. Overall worth trying for a nice south Indian meal once in a while.More
I gifted a (Famous On-Line Coupon Seller) coupon for Dosa Delight and I hate to say that it was a terrible experience, but it was. The giftee and I went to Dosa to try out the restaurant tonight and had an awful experience. It was...dinner time and they were nearly full and the staff looked to be overwhelmed. It started when it took about 15 minutes to get seated when there were a half-dozen empty un-bussed tables clearly available. It took another 20 minutes to get menus at our half-bussed table. The food took another 10 minutes (not bad) but it went to another table on the way to ours. The food was very good. A thali plate and vegetable jalfreezi. Hot, fresh, and delicious. We had to actively get the (pleasant but overwhelmed) staff to get attention for anything. It was time to pay and it took three people to get a check. The manager would not take our Groupon and I had to pay the full (reasonably priced) amount. I found that (Coupon Seller That Rhymes with Grey Poupon) customer surveys are managed. There was no place on the site to leave a review even after they sold you a coupon to that establishment. You can only tell them in your profile that you are interested in doing surveys. They pick who can leave reviews.More
This was my first time at an indian restaurant in New York and I was not disappointed. There were a lot of people in the restaurant and we were still served promptly and our food came out in no time as well. The curry I...ordered was delicious. My friend and I did not order the dosas However, I wish I had now that I know what it is. Many people at other tables ordered them. They were huge. We were concerned that it wasn't going to be a big enough dish since they were so cheap!. I will definitely come back here.More
I love Indian food coz it's spicy and has different taste and we Nepalese people love spicy food. Missing home food then perfect place to eat.
