Coltivare is a unique restaurant in that it is owned and operated by our local community college. Students learn the restaurant business from top to bottom. The food normally is locally home grown, and is always extremely fresh. It's a good idea to call ahead...More

Had dinner here with family this weekend. I was impressed with the setting of the restaurant immediately. Service was prompt and attentive. The menu was broad enough and there were intriguing specials. I would definitely recommend Coltivare for anyone visiting or doing business in Ithaca.
Date night included a visit to a new restaurant -- Coltivare! What an amazing experience all-around. The friendly hostess, casual environment, attentive server, and amazing dinner made for a lovely evening.

No kids' menu and it is more trendy and upscale than kid-friendly. There are lots of other eateries around that would easily satisfy children those ages. Also, it takes a while to get your food and there is nothing to entertain kids. Other kid-friendly restaurants abound in this town. Fresh Mexican is right downtown, also a great Middle Eastern restaurant, and plenty of pizza/Italian places.
