Had a stressful weekend in Ithaca at animal hospital. Our dog made it through, so we went to Coltivare to celebrate while she slept off the sedation in our hotel room. Service was lousy (much too slow) but the food . . . it’s been...a while since I’ve eaten a Caesar salad that had raw garlic rubbed on the croutons. Meatballs were tender in the center, a bit too crusty for my liking on the exterior. But the red sauce would make your grandmother cry fat prosciutto-laden tears of joy. Rich, bold tomato flavors, just enough oregano. I kept saying “Oh my God” while I ate. Wish it were served over spaghetti and not fettuccine, but nobody’s perfect. The blueberry cheesecake had a nice compote and real whipped cream, but the addition of honey made it too cloying. Still, a great meal. Bill for two (soup, salad, two pastas, 10 oz wine, dessert) came to $100. I’ll be eating the leftover pasta and meatballs for lunch.More

Bar drinks are really good - try the mood margarita that changes color. Food is okay, but not spectacular. Lots of Cajun dishes that aren't that spicy (had the gumbo - really small serving)

We had drinks and dinner while visiting our daughter at school. They had a good craft cocktail menu. The entrees were all very good. The staff took quite a few pains to protect the guests from covid. Seems we were more separated than usual from...other tables. Reservations are a must. Not a “steak” place on the night we were there. I think Covid has altered the menu a bit. Unique offerings and all were very good. The family all want to return here.More

Really liked this place for a special Date night with my Foodie Girlfriend. Food was excellent. Four stars for the service which was slower and less attentive but it was a busy Friday night so meh. Good choice for fancier food. I got the Salmon...and my Girlfriend got the steak special. I ate every bite of mine :)More

A good Friday dinner. Buffalo cauliflower was excellent... although the fries weren't necessary. Stout burgers were also excellent. Antonio was attentive and a lot of fun to talk to. We'll be back soon!

I enjoyed the food immensely. It was quite popular that my best friend and I had to eat at the bar. The drinks were good. The pastalaya was VERY good. Resonably priced. I will definitely return when I'm in the area.

Associated with the local community college culinary program, this place is a gem. Very socially distanced tables inside, great good and service.

My husband and I went to Coltivare for our 40th wedding anniversary dinner, We were not disappointed. Our reservation was scheduled for 7:30 pm. We were greeted by host immediately upon arrival and shown to our table. The restaurant is very clean and well appointed....Great ambiance and quiet. Our server approached our table quickly, took our drink order and returned with our wine and waters in a few moments. We both had the Caprese salads. Very fresh and salted perfectly. My husband had the Autumn Salmon and I had the Short Rib. Seriously the best dinners we have had in years! Well seasoned, beautifully presented and fresh. Also reasonably priced. We highly recommend this restaurant in Ithaca, NYMore

No kids' menu and it is more trendy and upscale than kid-friendly. There are lots of other eateries around that would easily satisfy children those ages. Also, it takes a while to get your food and there is nothing to... More
