I ordered the Centro Pizza with a caesar salad, cup of soup, wine and hot tea with the bill, under $35. The dinner was very good and the food was tasty. Wasn't sure what to expect from this restaurant but pleasantly surprised!

We went to the Heights for a birthday dinner. The restaurant decor and ambience is lovely and a good fit for celebrating a special occasion. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and everyone was genuinely nice. Everything we ordered was very good. The Heights also has good selection of wines. Our dinner was a fantastic experience!

The great accomplishment of this restaurant is to take standard fare such as steak or salmon, locate the best of its kind--the wildest, freshest salmon; the tenderest, juiciest steak--cook it perfectly, and then accompany it with a surprising group of vegetables and garnishes so nicely imagined that the dish becomes entirely new and entirely delicious. Some of the interesting accompaniments... More

I had dinner with 5 Cornell professors. The restaurant was full but still quiet enough for conversation. Service was OK, but the waitress gave us little help with choices of food or wine. They have a large wine list. My burrata puttanesca appetizer had tasty mozzarella but the dish was too salty. The swordfish was tasty and not dry. The... More

We've eaten lunch at The Heights several times over the last few years when visiting Ithaca, and always had a wonderful meal. For the first time, we had dinner there. What a class act! The attentive service started as soon as we walked in and continued throughout the meal. When our entrées arrived, the effort to present them beautifully and... More

The Heights has a modern feel in table crowded small rooms, albeit with a certain casual elegance. In Ithaca, this means you must be careful in your conversation not to use real names, wear shoes and do not wear shorts. Among the four of us celebrating a birthday, we tried the Flat Bread Caesar Salad with fried calamari, Mafalda Pasta... More

IMHO, this is the most consistently good restaurant in Ithaca. They always use good ingredients and don't overcook. The entrees are always quite large. Dinner can be pricy, but lunch is very reasonable (about $15 an entree) for the quality you get. The most similar place in town is the Carriage House, but their prices are higher for much smaller... Great Service. Really struggled at the start with the menu. All starters and mains were fantastic. Only criticism everyone in the same room. Some people just could not stop staring. And fortunately he was such a handsome lad we couldn't stop staring back. Too many fruit themes. All Fish absolutely excellent

We've been eating at The Heights for the last 3 years. We are always happy with our dinners here. We ordered pizza for the table and it was delicious. My chicken dish and my husband's steak was amazing! We were a party of 8 and everyone ordered something else and all were very pleased with their entrees. Our service was... More

Description
The Heights Restaurant and H Bar was established in 1995 by Culinary Institute of America graduate James Larounis and his wife Heidi. We are located in the Village of Cayuga Heights, one mile from the center of Cornell University. The restaurant has a casual, contemporary atmosphere and features Mediterranean-inspired American cuisine. We place the utmost value on our seasonal menus and on sourcing locally. We also take great pride in our wine list which includes over 400 bottle selections from the United States and international regions, and over 20 wines by the glass. The Heights Restaurant and H Bar has been a Wine Spectator award winner since 1999.
