We've only come here for lunch. You can get an entree for $13-$15 for lunch, whereas for dinner the price can triple. So I highly recommend lunch (check their hours though; and some days they're closed for lunch).. Overall, I would highly recommend this place, as our experience here has been mostly superb, with a few disappointments along the way.... More

The food is good and the service is attentive. I had two major problems though. The wine prices are very high and the markups are extravagant. The cheapest glass is $10 and there aren't many of those and the cheapest bottle is $40 and there aren't many of those either. Knowing some of the wines and their "normal" prices elsewhere,... More

I really didn't want to rate this a 5. The drinks were a little expensive, at 9 bucks each, and I had some other small issues... but the food was so incredible ... I won't mention those and I have to go 5. The trout may be the best I have ever had. The cauliflower definitely was. My wife got... More

The service is impeccable, the menu is creative and mostly healthy but the ultimate chocolate cake, I will cheat for every time and I am gluten free.

Several business colleagues took me here for dinner recently and I found the dishes to be inventive combinations featuring local ingredients and all delicious. Every dish I sampled was really good, including the calamari, the marinated flank steak, several fish dishes and the desserts.

It's a little outside of the main town and in a strip shopping center but if you are looking for really fine food and delicious wine, go here. I had a wonderful dinner of short ribs which were so tender that they fell off the bone. My traveling companions meals varied with things like margarita pizza and fish of the... More

The food is very well done. Service is great. The beer and wine may be the most expensive I have seen. Parking is so so. If you want to impress someone and have no budget restraints, this is it.

We were in Ithaca for 1 day and needed a good dinner spot. A friend told us to try Heights- yummy, convenient and good service I called and was happy to get a reservation on a Saturday night. We arrived and were quickly seated, greeted and served warm bread, pita, hummus, and a small plate of oil and vinegar. Our... More

Ate lunch there yesterday. As always, the food was very good. Prices are modest and our server was gracious and attentive throughout our meal. Highly recommended!

Introduced to me while my son & daughter attended Cornell: for over 12 years, Heights has elevated the standard for dining in Ithaca. Recent visit for business dinner gathering, the food & service rival Manhattan standard. Nice private room with good choice in menu. Enjoy!

Description
The Heights Restaurant and H Bar was established in 1995 by Culinary Institute of America graduate James Larounis and his wife Heidi. We are located in the Village of Cayuga Heights, one mile from the center of Cornell University. The restaurant has a casual, contemporary atmosphere and features Mediterranean-inspired American cuisine. We place the utmost value on our seasonal menus and on sourcing locally. We also take great pride in our wine list which includes over 400 bottle selections from the United States and international regions, and over 20 wines by the glass. The Heights Restaurant and H Bar has been a Wine Spectator award winner since 1999.
