The ice cream is simply delicious and the building is a perfect balance of modern-retro. There are a wide variety of flavors to chose from and the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you are in Ithaca, a visit to Purity is a must!

Some of the most delicious treats you can think of are found in this little place on Ithaca's Route 13. The big problem is the traffic patterns have made things very hard for car-bound patrons to get there. The traffic pattern is not "parking friendly" but if you are OK with walking, there is a lot of parking around the... More

Spectacular! Just exactly what Ithaca needed. Great food, great coffee, great ice cream, homemade muffins and pies, ice cream cakes for any occasion. Purity is rocking Itown.

Recent remodeling has made Purity an even greater joy for my occasional ice cream fix. I nearly always get Sleepers Awake, such a tasty blend of coffee and chocolate that I don't mind if it gives me insomnia.

This place was rated behind Melissa's last year when we came to Ithaca so we didn't eat there. This year Melissa's was really not very special so the next night we went here. MUCH better. I liked the many choices better and the indoor air conditioned place to eat the ice cream on a hot day.

Ice cream shop the size of a small restaurant with a huge selection of ice creams, sundaes, shakes, etc. Great place to stop by for dessert after a dinner in downtown Ithaca.

The ice-cream was really just ordinary ice-cream but with the details of banana splits and sprinkles it seemed special. The wait time was too long if you go after dinner. By the time you get the ice cream the kids are no longer interested.

Hi Friend! Thanks for coming to Purity and sorry it was not a memorable visit. Our ice cream is made with ingredients not found in most ice creams anymore. Our recipes date from many decades ago and we don't use corn syrup in our ice cream bases as most products do now. We try hard to maintain a traditional taste... More

We enjoyed the feel of the interior of the building. It felt very much like an original old fashion dairy with tile walls etc. the ice cream itself was also great. The hot fudge sauce was perfectly made. Overwhelming on a first visit not sure what to try as far as flavors go, many great options. Not a bad problem... More

We all had different items and the peppermint ice cream that I had was lovely. All of the ice cream flavors sounded wonderful and the restaurant was clean and bright.
