On Long Island for business and came across Opa Greek Restaurant. The restaurant is GREEK! The lemon chicken soup was served hot and very lemony. We ordered the Greek Gyros with a greek salad. The dressing on the lamb gyro was very good! The Greek salad was very good. The dressing was perfect! The servers and employees were extremely friendly... More

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this place always leaves me craving authentic greek food! The spanakopita dinner was served on a bed of rice and they serve mozzarella sticks.

OMG! So good. We love dining at OPA and encourage everyone we know to check it out! The best Greek food on the south shore. We love the staff, the service and have never been disappointed by the chef. We also order our take out and travel to get it. We have tasted just about everything on the menu and... More

As this was our first time in Islip, we turned to Tripadvisor for a place to eat lunch before heading to the airport for a flight back to Florida. We saw a restaurant that we were heading to when we passed OPA. As both my wife enjoy Greek food, there was no question that we should stop here. We are... More

I've been to Opa twice now and have been happy with the taste and quality of the Greek food served each time. The staff is great, very good service. Like the fact they actually have Mythos beer on the menu, though too bad its not the actual half liter size bottles served in Greece!

We ordered the octapodi $ 14.95 and it was the smallest portion of octopus and probably the least tasty I've had in quite a while. I also tried the vegetable platter and was very disappointed with the amount of grilled vegetables. The naan tasted like store bought pitas, the peas tasted as if they were served from the can, and... More

Authentic Greek food. Healthy portions. We actually had takeout. But we have eaten in the restaurant in the past. Nice ambiance. Staff was pleasant. Place was very clean. Highly recommended.

If you fancy Greek flavors, Opa is the place to land for lunch. Their Greek lemon soup is tangy, tasty and lemony and their chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki sauce is delicious and perfectly presented complemented by pita triangles. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is quiet. Good place for a meeting of friends or family meal.

We decided to go on a spur of the moment. This restaurant was recommended by a colleague at work. We ordered a bunch of mezze, appetizers. One was more delicious than the next..waitress was so kind..we told her we wanted to take our time, she obliged graciously ..food delicious and fresh! Price was very reasonable..great family night

This is the place to go on Long Island. The food was authentic Greek home style cooking and the service was excellent. The hostess was sweet, very attentive and offered suggestions when asked for. Definitely a place to go to over and over again.
