We stayed in this beautiful old inn for a day on our way home from Maine to Cincinnati. It really is what one expects of the traditional Adirondack lake inn with steep stairs, a railed porch outfitted with rocking chairs. The grassy slope to the water was a great place to congregate and relax with a book. A nice surprise... More

We stopped in the way home from Syracuse for lunch. The menu is basic but totally met our needs. My cheeseburger and my wife's turkey sandwich were made to order and cooked well. The seating, outside in the dock, was scenic and perfect! Highly recommend stopping!

My daughters and I stayed four nights Sunday to Thursday at the Inn. We ate in the Tavern and restaurant twice. The food was excellent - I recommend both the salmon and sirloin steak. It's the end of the season so the service was a bit slower than a typical restaurant but I was there to relax and enjoy the... More

The Woods Inn is a restored historic hotel and restaurant on Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks. My wife and I have had dinner many times at Woods Inn and are never disappointed. There are a number of selections on the menu and always specials of the day. Book a reservation ahead if you would like a table overlooking Fourth Lake... More

During a recent family vacation in Upstate, New York, we had the pleasure of visiting The wood's Inn, on two occasions. The first time was, Thursday, August 4th. After opening our cabin on Big Moose Lake, we drove to Inlet for light supper...arriving in time for the most spectacular sun set! I had the French Onion Soup, which, to be... More

This Inn provides beautiful lakeside views, plenty of common space for relaxation, boat rentals on site, close proximity to Inlet and several hiking trials, and a full pub with free popcorn, pool table, darts etc. The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey for what's available (they charge extra for drinks), and we had a bit of a mix-up with pricing... We were attracted to the Woods Inn by its classic Adirondack Great Camp architecture. But, once we got there, we realized you could watch the sun set over the lake while dining on the patio. And our meals were both excellent, which rounded out a lovely evening. The 8 oz sirloin steak looked like a filet mignon, and was just... More

We ate two meals here: Sunday Brunch and dinner. The brunch have me all that I wanted. I especially liked the omelet station. Would like to have seen gluten-free bread made available. Dinner was good not great, but satisfactory. I'd like to see more choice in vegetables and gluten-free food. I especially enjoyed the ambience of eating on the enclosed... More

From the friendly staff to the gorgeous sunset on the lake, we enjoyed every part of our dinner. The stuffed Sole was great and the Venison and trout were done perfectly. It has the feel of an old Adirondack hotel and it was kept up beautifully. Highly recommend.
