The third attempt to get into dinner at Red Dog Tavern finally paid off. A word of advice- go early or be prepared to wait. But the wait is worth it. Huge portions of food and friendly staff. We had enough to take home for at least 2 more meals. We will definitely come back again.

The owner greeted us at our table and took our drink order. We enjoyed a few minutes of light banter, with the owner, which included a reference to... More

Situated on a Beautiful road in the Adirondack mountains with lots of deer running all around. Especially pretty in the fall. Plenty of beer varieties, good wings and great atmosphere.

We stopped on a rainy Sat evening around 6pm and place was busy but not packed. Five of us were promptly seated and all of us ordered the Prime Rib dinner special. 3 were ordered rare and the other 2 ordered med rare. (Just a note...the service was excellent all night long.) The dinners arrived quickly and all were cooked... More

Is this on your bucket list? It should be: 1. Come to Adirondacks, check. 2. Have dinner at Red Dog Tavern.... A mix of bar food, seafood and southwest Tex-Mex, this is the only place in the Adirondacks to get a real southwest quesadilla, made to order. And the Nachos platter (although you might set that as a personal challenge... More

We live an hour from here so we frequent it quite often when we go hiking, etc. and usually get a couple of beers and their pulled pork nachos at a table in the bar. They have everything from prime rib to lemongrass pot sticker appetizers to brownie sundaes. This past Sunday evening when my husband and I went, there... More

Visited here on a beautiful fall day - nice ride to get there. The food was good and reasonably priced. The Tavern has a very nice cozy ambiance! We would def go back for another visit!

There's always time to stop here at the Red Dog, when ever we are in the ADK's , we always find the time to stop , have dinner or just some wings and of course a few cocktails.
