We’ve been coming to Frankie & Johnnies (Nardi’s) for decades. Never disappoints. Every dish they serve is amazing. No one leaves hungry, or without a huge doggie bag.
Veal Parm is my go to, but you can’t go wrong with whatever you order.
This is...our “go to” Italian restaurant in Sullivan County. You should go as well!More
Dined yesterday with my family for the first time and it was amazing!,
Food was delicious, great big portions and staff was great. Service superb.
Janis our waitress was so helpful in making food selections, even with us going in 1/2 hour before closing.
We...did. It feel rushed
Definitely a gem in the neighborhoodMore
Stopped off while in Hurlyville, craving calimari! So, being on the Keto diet ( at least for now) we requested no breading. Pleasantly surprised when our order arrived just the way we like it, with delicious sauce on the side, and so quickly.!! My only...gripe is that there was no paper towels in the men's restroom. Not a biggie, but it happened once before.More
Found on GPS as not much around Monticello, NY. Big portions of food, excellent taste at reasonable prices. Only 1 of party of 4 could finish meal. Drinks & food for 4 about $100. Hurleyville, NY is very small town & very quite.
First we were wary given a poor dining experience the night before at a gastropub down the street. We were further nervous given the aged appearance of the building that houses Nardi's. Frankly it looks kinda sketchy. Even walking in, it feels like an old...Italian restaurant I may have visited in the 70's. But a sweet grandma sat us quickly and the attentive staff was right on us to provide great service.
For me, Italian is all about the sauce and the cheese and this place nailed it. Fried calamari with marinara was great, an order of meatballs with marinara was delicious. We had a couple orders of baked ziti with ricotta, a lasagna, fettucinini Alfredo with shrimp and a huge side of sautéed mushrooms. Everything was authentic and just what I was looking for. Portions were huge and everyone had leftovers. To be fair we didn't have any meat dishes to comment on, but maybe next time.
We were in the area picking up my daughter from an acting camp. Our server made her stand up on a chair and sing a few bars...for a free piece of tiramisu. Can't beat that. I'll be here next year for sure.More
Went to this mainstay that has been popular since 1980..ordered garlic bread it was good. Our waitress was nice and suggested a cabernet which was good. I ordered veal parmigiana it was good. Our friends ordered eggplant parmigiana and said it was okay not the...best but good. The restaurant was crowded for a wednesday night and we enjoyed itMore
We had eaten here before, but service was unimpressive, to say the least. There were only 2 tables of customers, a 3-top, and a 2-top. Our server didn't introduce herself, and appeared abrupt. She said she just woke up ( it was 2PM). The fetuchini...Alfredo that my grandaughter ordered was ok, the veal cutlet parmesan hero good. When it came to pay our bill, no one was around. It took us 10 minutes to find our server. Not an acceptable experience.More
