We enjoyed a lovely midday meal here on a recent short stay in Queretero. The wait staff was excellent! The menu was extensive and delicious, while the location was perfect, right on a main plaza. Prices were surprisingly reasonable.

The food was perfectly acceptable although I have to say that I really don't like chichurron (pork crackling) or nopal (cactus) in my guacamole. My problem was that I felt that the waiters were talking down to us and being rather rude. This is a very touristy restaurant and we were there at a particularly worrying time in US-Mexican relations,... More

We spent 5 days in Queretaro this month. The first day we were with a guide and he took us to Plaza de Armas and to the 1810 for lunch. It was great. Picture the nachos that came as an appetizer accompanied by a huge bowl of guacamole and pork rinds. At 85 pesos ($4.50) this fed four people! Wow!... More

Arrived in town at lunch time and chose the 1810 as we had a fine evening meal there on our last visit a couple of years ago. Sat on the outside covered patio for a nice view of the Plaza de Armas, a delightful ambience. Prompt efficient service. Started with a glass of house chardonnay followed by one order of... More

It is very well located, in the top of one of the most beautiful squares in Querétaro. But it is a tourist trap. It is a good place for a drink, but not for many drinks, nor to eat a good meal.

The ambiance is great with the local and the music that is usually playing..You get your bang for your buck.. The food is upscale typical Mexican food. I would have given the restaurant a slightly higher rating, but I prefer a more continental cuisine although this food is great. You can sit for as long as you want and nurse... More

With most tables over looking Plaza Armas and soft live music at most hours (on various occasions a guitarist, a saxophonist, and a keyboardist), one couldn't ask for a better location. The wait staff is attentive and pretty fluent in English. The food is not exultant but good and plentiful.

What better name could there be for the restaurant looking directly at the Palacio de la Corregidora and the beautiful square that has been happening history of Queretaro and the country?

1810 Restaurant, with its prime location in the heart of Historic Downtown Queretaro, offers locals and visitors an exquisite menu of Mexican and international cuisine.

In this place you'll find traditional dishes that are hard to find elsewhere, such as: Grasshoppers, Escamoles, Chinicuiles (seasonal) and specialties such as : Molcajete Queretano; Molcajete "1810" and Escargots Bourguignon.
