We always return every year for sizzler night and are never disappointed. The food is amazing, and the service is one of the best in The Gambia. The owner wasn't here tonight, but the staff did you proud in your absence. Thanks again for another...More

Eat inside or outside with authentic Indian dishes that can be freaked to suit your tolerance to curry. Very helpful staff with the boss, Vimar, paying studied but not in your face interest in your choices and satisfaction. Quiet during the week but very busy...More

We'd eaten here twice during our 2 week stay in Gambia. However had we had the service we had on the second night we'd only have ventured in there one time only! When you arrive and walk directly into the restaurant - no one greets...More

We arrived early, so it was very quiet, and were seated in the garden at twilight. There was a lovely atmosphere - birds calling and bats swooping on their way out. The wine list is very comprehensive with wines from around the world. The food...More

Fantastic indian food! It was extremely quiet when we went but the owner was lovely and even called our taxi driver for us at the end of our meal. The food was really good with a good selection of dishes.

The Clay Oven has been open for 24 years, established in 1991 by Vimal Shah. The restaurant has two menu's, a well established Indian menu and a recently well tried Chinese menu. The Clay Oven takes pride in quality and excellence. There is a large dining area with a semi circular bar, and an outdoor dining area on a wooden deck surrounded by a palm garden and bar. All making a great ambience to dine in under the stars. "Our own belief is that a truly fine meal is enjoyed not once but three times - in anticipation, in consumption and in remembrance."
