We went here after being recommended by another couple and spent lunch here and stayed most of the afternoon the food was lovely and of excellent quality, being able to watch wildlife at such close quarters while eating and drinking was so relaxing. We stayed and watched the crocodiles being feed which was late afternoon although the croc's ate the... More

I have been to the Calypso many times during the day but I never imagined how it would transform itself at night. The gardens lit up by solar light became romantic and though lush during the day they glowed at night. The cicadas added that Far from the Madding crowd moment that I have only experienced before in the Caribbean... More

We came here for a well earnt drink around 5pm and were not disappointed. We sat in the sun but under a lovely hut right next to a crocodile pool - filled with resident crocs, an array of amazing birds and lizards, and a lovely view of the ocean in the background. There's a lovely treehouse too, built around an... More

We visited at lunchtime and enjoyed the location very much with the wildlife and crocodiles. The service was extremely slow and not overly friendly. The food was only average but we still enjoyed the fun of eating al fresco under a hut. Cannot recommend the scampi which was actually prawns in a chewy tempura batter! The Chicken Yassa was better.

We are returning for second meal here ..lovely food may be slightly dearer than the other 3 or 4 restaurants in the Cape point area but still very good value for the cusine. .you can explore in the light of day crocodiles. Lizards and tree house. Polite to buy a drink or snack in return

A beautiful location, excellent food, and friendly staff. The food is about the most expensive you'll buy at a restaurant in the Gambia, but it's very good quality. The crocodile pool is a fun feature (as is the pet monkey), which attracts lots of birds too.

We tried it for lunch using our Gambia Experience discount vouchers and were so impressed by the venue, settings, perfect service and excellent food that we returned on our last Saturday evening for dinner. We hadn't reserved a table but Ann the owner made sure that a table was made available and another delightful experience under the "big" moon!

Enjoyed a great lunch with our family. They were out of all their featured local juices. That was the only negative. Food was tasty. Service was good, had to flag down our waiter for our check but this seems to be typical in the Banjul. Lots of the 'good' tables are reserved so if you want to sit near the... More
