We were in Ithaca, our daughter and granddaughter were in Syracuse, so where's the middle? Homer NY. And Dashers Corner Pub was the perfect stop. When we made reservations, they explained that 6:30 (our requested time) was an inside time, and 7:00 was an outside...time. They were very serious about keeping people safe and practicing social distancing. When it got closer to our reservation date I called and asked if there was room at 7:00 for 4 and could I change my reservation? Sure, no problem. We got there and they have a very nice outdoor area, lots of space between the tables. Service was good, food was good. Our vegetarian granddaughter had no problem finding something good - Mac 'n Cheese while I chose Ratatouille: Roasted layers of eggplant, zucchini, squash, tomato, and goat cheese over vegetable risotto. It was great and the portion was very large. My wife ordered Chicken Spedie Salad: mixed greens with cheese, fruit and raspberry vinaigrette which was huge and tasty. Our daughters Steak Diane was cooked accurately and was very tasty. I wish it was closer so we could come back soon!More

We were traveling home from a day trip to Skaneatles and were looking for lunch. We noticed they had outdoor seating so stopped. The server was excellent and the food was delicious. We had the steak panini and dasher's dip. Both were generously portioned and...cooked to our specifications. Given the opportunity, we'll go back!More

Fantastic steak Diane. Also had the limoncello shrimp They not only have good vegetarian dishes too, but they have gluten free vegetarian too. A few reviews said it was too expensive. Well, its not cheap, but it is excellent. My only disappointment was in policy......we bought two gift cards, one for us and one for friends. I was surprised I could not use the card balance toward tip. Desserts were good, not overly fancy, but reasonable in cost. This was my first dinner, second visit, and I will go again. Reservations suggested.More

I have eaten there twice recently and both times I was very pleased. They have outdoor seating which is way nicer than the indoor seating. They have good appetizers and the prime rib there is excellent! My only complaint is I wish they would change...the vegetable. It is always carrots.More

First the good, I liked the interior decor. Our server was satisfactory. Now the bad, the prices were too high. My grilled cheese sandwich was made with this thick dry roll. I asked for Italian but it sure didn’t look or taste like it. The...waitress said it was Italian, no way. The bowl of tomato bisque was ok but it was a itty bitty bowl. We all laughed each time my water glass slid down the table because it was so uneven. The menu was limited. Not for me.More

Last minute dinner decision for two couples at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night right before Christmas. Hostess was friendly upon arrival, and got us connected to our friends upstairs. Waitress was patient as we chatted before ordering. Menu prices seemed a little high, however...all four of us had an outstanding meal worth every penny. Loaded chip appetizer was excellent, meal delivery was timely. Again waitress was excellent, patient with us as we had already paid our bill, been ordered another drink. Quaint building.More

The atmosphere is wonderful. The prices are high but it's one of two places to go out in Homer. They have great outside seating when the weather is good.

I have reviewed this place before, and gave it glowing reviews, but this time around, not so hot. I am not sure if it was a bad day for them (I suspect so, since the waitress said something about a change in shifts at the...time we arrived....early, for dinner), but this visit was less than stellar. It was (once again) our Anniversary in early April. We almost always chose Dasher's to celebrate. This year we brought along family and friends, and we all ordered different things. First the appetizers. The meat and cheese on the Pub Board appetizer tasted funky, the "special"....which was medallions of beef, were NOT cooked as ordered - we asked for them to be medium well, and they came out still mooing.....and the fingerling potatoes had a chemical taste to them. We were asked if we wanted something else, but by then the experience was ruined, so we just asked that everything be removed from the bill. That was when we got the attitude. Mind you, we have been longstanding customers, have turned on many others to Dasher's, and have had many celebrations and meals there in the past. Not sure what happened. I may go back eventually for another try, but I was rather disappointed, as it had been one of my "go to" places. I guess check before you order to see if they are fully staffed, if one of the regular chefs is there, and if it is a shift change!More

We enjoy Dasher’s – it usually has good service and it’s a comfortable place to be. On this trip, I had the Cape Codder, and my husband had the Wellington roast beef sandwich. Both were delicious, and for dessert we shared the profiteroles, which were...outstanding. Our server was Steven, and he was very pleasant, efficient and attentive without being overbearing. Good time all around. We recommend this place.More
