Covid Safe - will be back

When you first walk in there is hand sanitizer. Then we checked in with the hostess who had us go to the temperature station and we all had our temperature checked. Then we were seated. All employees and guests had masks on and were distanced. No silverware just a plastic fork, which was sturdy and chop sticks. This was our first time her and we were celebrating a birthday. The clear soup was good, most places it just looks like colored water, but this had a nice taste. Then we were served salad. The hibachi food was very good and they didn't charge extra for fried rice like all the other places do. The chef was very friendly and talented. Waitress was attentive. They sang happy birthday to my son and he was given ice cream. It was a fun, very good and safe evening.

Great Japanese Food

A coworker suggested this restaurant and I loved it! The menu has a huge selection of sushi and hibachi. I ordered chicken and steak hibachi which came with soup, salad, dipping sauces, veggies and fried rice. Everything’s as so delicious. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for great Japanese food.

good atmosphere, great food and menu, fair prices, good service. Nice bar, where you can eat at or a pub table, they have booths and hibachi service seating. Suitable for families, dates, and friends.

Just terrible customer service at the front.

Very displeased with customer service. I've been coming here for YEARS, probably since they opened. My office is around the block. All of us order from here at least once a week. I went in, after having left over hibachi, asking if i could buy a side of the hibachi sauce. They said no. I asked why and they said I would need to purchase an entire new hibachi entree to get buy more sauces. I asked if I could speak to a manager they told me no and started laughing. So I left. I tried calling asking if I could speak to a manager, they also told me no over the phone. This is all over a little cup of sauce that would probably cost $0.25. Not that it matters to them but my office, and the entire building were in will no longer be going there. Such a shame.

Awful service. Awful food. Awful atmosphere!

The dining room was as cold as the food. Waitress was inattentive and unfriendly from the moment we sat down. The restaurant was empty yet we had to continually call Over the waitress to get any service. I had to walk around restaurant to ask for silverware food was horrible and “Manager” argued with us when we stated we would like new dishes. We To celebrate someone’s birthday and had balloons with us. NOONE on the staff mentioned a birthday celebration from the minute we walked in to when we left! Horrible experience!!

Went there to celebrate my daughter's return from college. Waitress took our order and never came back to check on us.. we had to have our chef stop cooking and go find service for us to order more drinks. Staff seemed bothered and not happy to be there. We had to ask for every little thing (soy sauce, chopsticks, extra sauce for the meal etc...) My daughter and I got sashimi and salmon tartar for appetizers which came at the end of our dinner (had to take it to go as we were already full). Dinner was served with plastic forks... I don't pay all this $ for dinner to eat with plastic forks. Chef was ok, but definitely did not interact with us as expected at hibachi. Tip is added to your check so I'm assuming is why they don't feel like they need to check on you. Definitely will not be back.

Fun for the family

Just went to Izumi for hibachi with the family and it was great. The food was all very tasty, but that’s not the only reason to go to hibachi and the chef didn’t disappoint. He was very entertaining and everyone had lots of fun.

Dissapointing

My family and I though we were in for a great experience. If anyone in your party has special dietary needs your food will be cooked in the kitchen unlike most other hibachi restaurants.

Hibachi fun

It's a dinner/show fun for the whole family! Everything we have tried here is awesome, I could eat the hibachi rice for dinner alone. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent Hibachi

Went with family and had a great experience. Food was excellent, chef was entertaining, ambience was great, overall very good experience - but most importantly all of us (including 12 & 7 year olds) absolutely loved the food!

Nice place, good food

My niece recommended this place since my wife and daughter love sushi. It is a large restaurant, decorated nicely and the staff was always around. My wife and daughter enjoyed their sushi so much that they ordered more. I ordered a shrimp plate that was also delicious. They was a lot of excitement coming from the other room where the hibachi-style cooking was being made, so I guess it is a favorite. No drinks or dessert for us. Overall, a very nice restaurant that is affordable.

Scrumptious food, staff ehh

We had hibachi for a large group, there was confusion with the number of people versus how many chefs we would need. The hostess/waitress Suki was unpleasant and difficult about it. Our bill came to $500, I would have expected a little more decency given how much we were spending. The food was great though. The staff was ready to kick us out the moment we were done, they were closing soon but still it was unnecessary.

Birthday dinner

We came here with a large party of about 8-10 people for hibachi for a birthday dinner. The food was (as always at Izumi) delicious and the hibachi show was great. The chefs are engaging and the staff is always friendly. We've been coming here for a long time and are always excited to return.

Good food, good hibachi show

We went here after my sons graduation ceremony. There were 6 of us. We were seated at a hibachi table, but the table wasn't working (the grill), so they moved us to another table, no big deal. We ordered shrimp & chicken, salmon & shrimp, shrimp & scallops and lobster & filet mignon. Everything was very good. The food was all cooked to perfection and the rice was tasty. They were a little cheap on the vegetables, we each only got a very small amount. The chef put on a very good show and was very nice. The prices are comparable to other hibachi restaurants. The bill was $185 for the six of us, which included a 18% tip. (We did not have any cocktails) I did give the Chef an extra tip because the 18% that they add on to the bill is split between the waitress and the Chef and I felt he deserved more. We all really enjoyed this restaurant, and will definitely be back!

Good for sushi in area

There aren't many sushi places in area. This place is good for that both lunch or dinner. Came here often with family. My wife gets hibachi and likes it too.
