Fairly standard menu mid range Chinese restaurant across from the Hartsdale train station with one very nice bonus: Soup Dumplings (Xiaolongbao). These are very good but pricey at $9 for 4 (as opposed to Joes Shanghai's far superior $9.25 for 6) and worth a special visit. Just bring quarters to either park on the street (if you are lucky) or... More

Usually we have stayed away from "Chinese" restaurants, rather going to "Asian" stle where we can get most everything from sushi to somewhat Chinese style dishes. Tonight , we elected to visit this restaurant for the first time in 3 years. Yep, there is a difference. This establishment really knows how to make the good stuff. For appetizers, we had... More

This restaurant is always crowded and with good reason. The food is excellent. The menu features a wide variety and allows for mix and match. Pick the meat, veggies and sauce. It's really a pleasure compared to the typical approach of chicken with x, y or z. If you go on a weekend, I highly recommend a reservation. This place... More

Hunan Village II is not your average Chinese Restaurant. The space is a "minimalist" setting and the service is very attentive and professional. I was particularly impressed with the large menu which offers DIM Sum dishes, freshly caught seafood from the "South Street Seaport Market, prepared with the sauce and method of cooking of your choice, and a large selection... Interesting menu choices and most are good. Spare ribs were meaty and delicious. Pork potstickers were very good. Moo shu pork was very tasty as was the chicken with pine nuts and mango. Chicken with brown sauce had excellent fresh vegetables including string beans, snow peas and Chinese broccoli. Prices are a bit high but quality, service and atmosphere are... More

At Hunan Village II in Hartsdale the food is delicious, well prepared and consistent. It's certainly in the top tier of quality Chinese restaurants in lower Westchester. The atmosphere is fine and the service is good. Plenty of parking in the rear.

The food is not your usual Chinese American cuisine. There are more authentic Chinese dishes than in any other local Chinese restaurants, which is what keeps us coming back.

Better than average chinese food. It's not Flushing but it's consistent and not greasy. Can customize the sauces

We had an enjoyable family lunch. Hey have a nice menu- appetizers, soups, noodle and rice dishes, seafood, vegetable dishes. We ordered from the Lunch Special section. You start by selecting a protein(pork, chicken, beef, etc) then choose a sauce, and then pick two vegetables- $1 extra per additional vegetable. Lastly pick cooking method- sautéed, steamed or stir fried. Soup and rice... More

I have not been to this restaurant in a while. The meal began with a piece of old bubble gum stuck to the window sill. We asked the staff to remove it and they ignored it. The food was poor and the service inattentive and rude. Avoid it!!
