We were out for a drive on a Friday night forgetting it was lent so we couldn't get into the restaurant we wanted so I said what about Jack Devine's well when we pulled up we realized the name had changed. We went in and...were seated immediately the only thing I didn't care for was we were sat in a half booth where we sat side by side instead of across from one another so we were looking directly at the people in the booth across from us which was a bit weird. It wasn't overly crowded but our server Abby told us they had just re-opened the day before from being closed during the pandemic, so alot of people probably weren't aware they were open again. They have a huge bar in there and there were the dividers placed around the bar, for distance and social spacing. My husband ordered wings as he eats wings everywhere we go and a personal pepperoni pizza, I opted for the chicken feta sandwich with fresh cut fries. Surprisingly just opening the previous day the food was delicious. My husband had the BBQ wings shaken in hot sauce which came super crispy like he wanted, the crust on the pizza was perfect almost looked like a wood fire pizza and my sandwich was very tasty, a chicken breast with lettuce, onion, tomato and feta on a costanza roll, with fries and a pickle. The fries were very good not greasy at all. It did take a bit to get our food as I'm sure the cooks were getting reaquainted with the kitchen again, which was fine was just nice to be out again. Great menu lots of Irish food if that's what you like shepards pie, bangers and mashed, etc etc everything that walked by us looked very good. They also have a Friday Fish fry, beer battered, panko breaded and broiled.More

My wife and I stopped here for something different. Food was good but could have been better. My wife had Corned Beef and Cabbage which she said lacked the flavor of cooking the Beef in with the Cabbage. It was good but could have been...better. She did clean her plate. I had Shepherds Pie. I have never had this dish but I have seen it before, Usually it is covered with Mashed Potatoes, this was not. There was the traditional mix of Beef and Lamb and it was tasty but not plentiful. For those of you who have read other of my reviews, what is my biggest complaint. We did go on a Saturday Evening and the noise was unbelievable. I had to yell for my wife to hear me and vice versa. I wear hearing aids and it was way to loud. I would try it again on an off night.More

Ok, ordering a Greek salad from an Irish bar doesn't even sound like a good idea now, but we ordered 2 and a fish fry to go. Greek salad with spring mix greens - augghh. No Kalamata olives, black instead. At least feta cheese was...there. The fish, as usual was good, but the order of sweet potato fries was replaced with regular French fries and the request for no sides, well that couldn't be right so 2 of moms least liked sides were included. OK. I have been here numerous times mostly for Irish style food and wings, and have found this place great, the owner Tina is a hoot. I suspect one cook or waitress should be let go, though, before these blunders become a habit.More

Stopped in with a couple of pals the other night. The waitress was terrific and her service was very good. The food was OK - nothing special - although the chips served with our beers were excellent. On the other hand the french fries were...lousy. Soggy and tepid. The prices are pretty good. On the other hand the place was just plain dirty. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Years? It was disgusting. One of our drinks was served with 'something' floating in it. Yuck. This place needs to clean up their act literally and figuratively.More

Since adding a second location and turning both places into a chain-looking place, I do not think of going to JD's anymore as a first thought. They tweaked the menu a little too much, and unless they forgot to give us the poutine menu, that...is gone. Not a bad place, but it feels like 1/2 step down from Applebees or TGIF and it lost its identity.More

I love to drink at this bar. Reason being, is that for its location it's very convenient and the atmosphere is inviting. The patrons are nice and people pretty much keep to themselves. The ones that don't are very friendly! Rather than go all the...way downtown and have to put up with pick pockets, beggars, and an otherwise unsavory bunches of people. The staff and people that frequent this wonderful bar aren't like the Hell's Angels biker types. I can't wait to have the culinary staff exceed my expectation's the next time I eat here. Either way this is my watering hole.More

First trip here, overall it was good and positive. The dinner entrees that we had were the Chicken Pot Pie and the Ploughman Pork Chop. Both dinners were very tasty and satisfying. The pork was especially good as it was a thick cut and a...really good valve, so if you’re hungry give it a shot. The service was prompt and courteous. We will be back in the near future to try something more here.More

Awesome place. Lots of beers. Great food. Hang out after the game. You won't be disappointed. About a mile walk from the stadium. Staff and manager take special interest in their customers. We asked where our hotel was. One of the staff printed off a...Google map. We did not even ask. It was a total surprise. Above and beyond.More

The food is delicious. However, it came out cold. According to the waiter, we were the only order is, so our meals would be out quickly. Potato bacon soup was excellent and hot. One of our party had the corned beef and cabbage, he raved...about it. One had the roast beef on weck, that was good. One had the Shepherds Pie and had to add a lot of salt and pepper. I ordered the pot roast which was very tasty, however, cold. Even the mashed potatoes.More
