We frequent the Hague Firehouse Restaurant a few times a summer when we are in town. Refurbished firehouse on the side of a local creek; quiet and peaceful. Does get a bit loud at night due to the popularity of the place...and also not much competition. Can sit outside out back (recommended) overlooking the running brook below the deck; very... More

Hague is a small quiet town toward the northern end of Lake George in eastern New York. Thank goodness it is not the overcrowded carnival of southern Lake George. We did not expect much in the way of dining here, but found the Firehouse a pleasant place to eat. Crowded on the weekends, it is peaceful during the week. We... More

We stumbled upon the Firehouse while touring around Lake George and when we went in there was a 45 minute wait on a Monday night. We liked the look of the place and made reservations for Wednesday. Upon our return, the place was not full, but outside tables were full, so we sat in the rear room, which is very... More

I gave it a three star because the food was average and priced at what would be above average. Service was polite but not warm. Not many choices in the area. The bar could not make a Moscow drink as there was no Ginger Beer.

There's a new chef this year, so the menu has changed. Steamed littleneck clams were a big disappointment -- hard to find the clams in the sea of sliced fennel in the underseasoned broth. The chicken piccata and the pork chop were cooked well enough, but the most satisfying thing on the plate with them were roasted purple potatoes that... More

Firehouse has quickly become a seasonal favorite for locals and tourists alike. It's original decor adds an Americana flare to its adventurous menu offerings which includes local ingredients whenever possible. Continues success Firehouse.

We enjoyed our dinner at the firehouse restaurant. The setting is an old firehouse, but it is nicely redone- not kitschy. There is outdoor seating with a view of a babbling brook. The staff was very nice and accommadating. We will be back.

Two of our four entrees came out incomplete and when we asked the waitress, she never came back. Service was abysmal in general- there was plenty of staff but no one came back to check our drinks. Our food was average at best. We were so disappointed because we had heard great things. The highlight is the location: a gorgeous... More

The Firehouse restaurant has lost its Way since it opened . It started out with a great menu and a wonderful chef Rob. They changed chef's about three years and the menu and quality and variety of the offering went down the tubes. If you want a beer and a burger you will be fine . If you want real... More

Food seemed to take a while to come out but was pretty good. Great scenery to enjoy your dinner, I will return while in the area.
