... because I am certainly surprised at all the glowing reviews. Overall, food was slapped together carelessly. I ordered overpriced takeout chicken soup that turned out to be 95% salty broth. My friend's Reuben Sandwich was so chaotically assembled, he couldn't even pick it up....The last straw were the "banana pancakes," which were just tepid Aunt Jemimas with banana slices scattered on top.More
This is a very nice, comfortable place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with a a wide array of selections. While not gourmet, the food is tasty and cooked the way you want. It's a nice place to chat with friends and family.

Thank you for your nice review! I am so glad you enjoyed your experience
Busy Saturday but 4 were seated right away.
Service was okay but not like it used to be.
Bride ordered burger(comes with Cole slaw & pickle). I ordered omelet ( comes with toast). Neither of these sides came with main dish, had to request it....Both dishes were served warm, lime they were sitting for a while( time was a problem, couldn't wait for food to be done properly).
Also needless to say it's Great Neck so expect to pay higher than other diners.
I'm in Great Neck every few weeks, I will travel beyond Great Neck to receive good food, prepared properly and at a reasonable price.More

Menu is extensive and difficult to navigate if in a time-crunch, otherwise, tons of choices, local foods, and minimal service. Pickle and cole slaw for the table top, but not sure what their specialty is. Take your chances at the lunch hour for a table,...but probable.More
