Four people had four different entrees. Mine was Veal Sorrentino. It was overly salted, came with poorly prepared fried potatoes & a mixture of tasteless vegetables. The portion of meat was extremely small, the eggplant between the slices of prosciutto & veal were nothing but...breadcrumbs & the mozzarella melted to nothing. It was completely over-cooked with no choice of sides. It came with what it came with! We had both red & white wine with dinner. I ordered Crème Brûlée for dessert & Espresso. The espresso was excellent but the Crème Brûlée had just come from the refrigerator and tasted like a poorly prepared Flan at best. This can be slightly chilled with the caramelized sugar adding texture and heat to the top. This was very poorly prepared as was the rest of our meal. Food Presentation was minimal and, outside of our wonderful waiter, Nick, the overall service was poor. When we walked in, one of the staff was standing at the entrance, I wished him "Good Evening" and got no reply. I reiterated & shocked him into responding. An untrained waitstaff is simply poor management and does not bode well for the overall feel, ambiance & experience. The entire restaurant is poorly run. It could be a wonderful place to dine and it's unfortunate that it isn't. They will be closed for several months in order to renovate. When they reopen their doors, I do hope they'll also renovate the menu, replace the chef, and hire qualified management & the staff so they can justify the prices they charge for their fare. On this Saturday evening, it was nothing more than mediocrity in its finest hour!More
