Inventive, creative, super fresh, delicious sushi! Surprisingly awesome - no offense - this north of NYC. The staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the menu, which also includes amazing noodle dishes and everything Asian. The hibachi is also absolutely delicious (and entertaining) BUT - have...to say - the Miso soup is too watery and lacks flavor and the hot mustard sauce is disappointingly just a weak American honey mustard.... shocking fail given the amazing food. If Mikado upgrades their Miso soup and hibachi mustard sauce, they would be 6 stars out of 5.More

The tourist bureau in Lake George told us that Mikado had the best Asian food in the region, and they may be right. Everything we had was very very good, from the Korean rice stick appetizer to the specialty sushi to the sashimi bowls decorated...with flowers. Two members of our group got udon and cleaned their plates. The server was prompt and attentive; he seemed to know the menu well. We ate outside with a pleasant view of historic buildings in downtown Glens Falls. We are debating eating there again before we finish our short vacation!More

Visited in May for my son's birthday. There were 5 in our group at the Hibachi. What a classy, fun, and awesome place. The drinks were delish, the hibachi experience was so fun, and the food was over the top fresh and tasty. I wish...I could afford to eat there a few times a week. The price is in line with the experience...worth EVERY PENNY! RUN don't walk...to Mikado.More

It was a great experience to visit Mikado. Felt like a city level restaurant in a small town. food was great looking and tasted great as well. Ramen soup with sushi was a good combo of flavor.

We came here while visiting family neaby at their recommendation. We all got the hibachi dinners and two of us got the sushi. Everything was good and it's always fun to watch the 'Chef' as he prepares the food in front of you. Our chef...did mess up one order though. Instead of the seafood dinner ordered with three seafood items, he got only scallops. By the time we realized it, the cooking was done with the other items not coming. We also ordered white rice which we never received. Those who ordered fried rice did get it. Another patron at our table paid for everyone's dinner so we didn't complain. Drinks were good and besides the missing items, the service was good.More

So thought I would treat my family to dinner so they wouldn’t have to cook. We called and placed the order and were told we could pick it up in an hour, seemed a bit long but hey it was a Saturday. My son drives...down to pick up our order gets home and the dinners have rice AND noodles mixed together on the hibachi meals. We specifically ordered our meals with just rice as my kids have gluten allergies. I called the restaurant and the lady said she didn’t get the memo about no noodles! They refused to make the order correct! $70 for 2 hibachi dinners and one sushi roll and we landed up having to order dinner from a different restaurant so we could all eat. I don’t have a gluten allergy so I ate one of the meals from Mikados and the chicken was gross and inedible, so most of my meal was thrown away. What ever happened to the customer always being right! Well they have lost our business and I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone!More

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for almost 10 years ever since I moved to this area from Long Island. Many of my local friends had recommended me this restaurant. I was pretty skeptical at first because I had been spoiled by such great sushi...in Long Island. To my surprise, Mikado exceeded my expectations. I have been a regular every other week for the 10 years I’ve been here. The sushi has been very consistent and their food is always great. I’ve watched them grow from a small business to a larger business as the years went by. This restaurant is always busy on the weekends & sometimes I have had to wait a very long time to be seated. However, their food is great and always so consistent. This is the best restaurant with sushi & hibachi. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!More

Compared to their old location, this place is spacious. Had dinner here with the family and was lucky enough not to have to wait too long. They asked for my number for contact tracing and seated us. Table spacing was good. Ordered the seafood pancake,...jaeyuk bokkum, salmon rolls, and bibimbap. Enjoyed everything we ate. The pancake didn't have the texture that mom would make. Server was very nice, though she was waiting on tables in different sections which slowed service a little. Grateful to find a Korean place in the area and will be visiting again.More

We went tonight for dinner. The hostess was unfriendly but quickly sat us. Our server, Kathy, was fantastic. Food was truly nothing special. The soup(s) were super-bland. The salad that came with the meal appeared to have a "broken" dressing. The steak teriyaki that I...ordered must have gotten confused with the hibachi beef, as there was absolutely no teriyaki flavor whatsoever. The meat was tough. We ordered white rice instead of fried but they served fried anyway and later brought us white. The noodles were flavorful but stuck to the bottom of the dish/skillet. The veggies were great, but there's no getting by the tough "steak". Menus were dirty and sticky and so was the table. It's too bad because it's a beautiful place in a great location.More

Hibachi was entertaining and tasty, kids loved it. Sushi was surprisingly delicious and authentic (not cream cheese filled) A must if in area and worth the drive if you love sushi.

The Mikado has been a mainstay in downtown Glens Falls for years. This lovely, Asian cuisine restaurant recently relocated to Glen Street in a newly renovated space. The decor is clean and interesting. There are tables just inside the open front windows and the hibachi...table in the back is great fun. The menu offers many excellent selections and includes a very nice saki list. Prices are reasonable, service is attentive and welcoming. Stop in for a relaxing dinner!More

Food was very good, portions were very satisfying. Service however was slow. They kept bringing little things out to make it seem like we weren't waiting that long, but when our food finally came we had tickets to go to a show at the theater...next door and we had to wrap up much of our meal and bring it with us.More

You can have the hibachi meals even if you aren’t sitting at a hibachi table, same price without the show. We ordered the Large Scorpion to share. It comes in an enormous glass with fruit all along the rim and it’s flaming!!!
