Beautiful setting. Lots of seats looking out to the beach. Great fruit juices. We didn't stay for food as the menu didn't inspire us - even though I had read previous reviews - so we probably missed out on something special - but I'd suggest that the menu and outside board probably needs a bit of inspiration injected to attract... We cycled up to Belle View. I do not dispute that the food might be amazing, but Belle View itself is a shack! Great lookout though. Chez Jules was very welcoming - the juices are huge (big enough for two people) and they have the cheapest ice coffees on the island SCR 45. We stopped in once for a juice... More

Had the roast octopus and the chicken sautée. The octopus was one of the best I have eaten and is far better than what you will find elsewhere on the island for seafood. The chicken was good. Watermelon juice is freshly pressed. You can get a taxi there but it is accessible by bike although there will be two steep... More

We took a taxi over to the east of the island to visit this different side to La Digue it is definitely more remote and quiet and beautiful in a different way but one of the main reasons was to visit Chez Jules which is listed at No.1 on TA. We had some juices/beers and the octopus stir fry and... More

After discovering Chez Jules, we were coming back every day. It is very nice and quiet place, where you can enjoy beatiful sea view, while sipping some of their delicious juices. Try their banana nougat! If you are lucky you can also meet the big tortoise strolling around :-)

They offer pretty basic food, nothing special. And the juice we ordered was not fresh :( Next time we will try another restaurant!

My sister and I were in a dilemma it was our last dinner in La Digue and we narrowed it down to Combava and Chez Jules. We opted for this (although the taxi ride was more than the meal itself) as we had yet to try an authentic creole restaurant and it was the first restaurant the locals would recommend... More

It is a long way to the end of the road to find Chez Jules, but well worth the effort. The restaurant is constructed from local natural items: Beautiful Takamaka wood surfaces and huge palm leaves on the roof. The view to Felicite, from the restaurant is stunning. Jules is passionate about using good quality locally sourced ingredients and cooking... More

Beautiful authentic surroundings, freshly made juices, cold beers and even water from a coconut. Nice little place to relax from a biking trip. Fits in perfectly with a natural stop after having been biking for quite a while.
