The food was amazing. The service was very good. They have a store adjacent to the restaurant. Picked up lots of goodies to take home. Looking forward to our next trip there.
It’s been more than 10 years since I had last been to this restaurant. The last time I tried to go 2 years ago, they were closed for a private event. I was so disappointed! Highly recommend a visit to their butcher/food store, which is connected to the restaurant. That way you can bring home complete frozen dinners (roast pork, sauerbraten, rolladen), for $10 - $13.
I had a terrific Jaegerschnitzel which is beautifully fried thin slice of veal covered with a dark mushroom gravy. There were several parties celebrating birthdays and the restaurant was packed at 7 PM on a Saturday. It's obviously a destination because Glendale is literally off the tracks, yet you could watch a steady stream of patrons flocking to the entrance.... More
