Best German food you will find. Large portions, reasonably priced, fantastic "beer hall" decor- and if you don't order the ghoulish soup you are missing something great. Sauerbraten, Jagerschnitzel, Weinerschnitzel and daily specials are the star attractions.

Went there after a show for dinner. Interesting decor. Wait staff all dressed appropriately. They have specials every day. The duck was cooked perfect..

Very good German food, huge portions, good ambiance, pretty good service, German style. This place seems to have been forever and should stay.

Zum Stammtisch (To the Table of the Regulars) implying, I think, something like "Let's go to our regular place!" is immediately German through and through. You might check out the associated small market right next door, first. The wood is dark, the beer good, and the menu items those you would find all over Germany. It was tempting to forget... More

We had steak tartar, veal snitzel and sauerbraten. All were delicious and staff was very attentive. The beer was cold and fresh. They take reservations and are busy all the time.

If you are from the neighborhood you know the restaurant and how good the food and service have always been. If you are not and you have heard the name you know it's a land mark. A place to enjoy good German food with a good German beer. Hope to have it around for my grand kids to enjoy.

As close as it gets to eating in Germany. The food is authentic the Sauerbraten is not just pot roast with sauerbraten gravey, it's the real thing marinated meat. The beer selection is very good and the service friendly and fast and they don't rush you. Don't forget the Goulash soup. Weekends I would make a reservation.

My wife and I came here on date nite. She is post-op and unable to eat full meals. We were told NO SHARING. Been to lots of restaurants including other the German Resturant in the area. Shame on the wait staff/management. I will not be back. . .

Not surprised to see it rated #1. I went here yesterday with friends for lunch. We ordered from the Schnitzelfest menu which is available on Mondays and Tuesdays. Appetizer, Entree and Dessert for $21.95. I had the Goulash Soup and Jägerschnitzel. It was very good as always. We stopped in the Pork Store to bring home some favorite German items.

My wife and her family have come here for years! We have always had a fine meal and they are very picky Bavarians! The wait staff could not be better. They are courteous and very attentive. If you have a less than perfect experience it's because of you not the restaurant. My wife has been getting Steak Tartare for 40... More
