We visited for dinner while traveling through the area. The castle is exquisite and the grounds beautiful so we were excited to try the restaurant. The setting is so pretty but I have to say I was disappointed in my fellow guests... women in bathing suit tops and flip flops and men wearing their baseball caps while they ate... just... More

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for bringing this matter to our attention. We are so sorry about the unenforced dress code and the problems you had with your meal. Edgar's is a fine dining restaurant and we do ask guests to dress in a way that is suited for the upscale atmosphere. The problems you had with your meal... More

It was too warm an evening to sit outside so we were seated in a room overlooking the grounds. We enjoyed walking through the building but when the drink and food element of the evening began, it was all quite average. Nothing looked, tasted or was presented in an extraordinary way which you tend to expect in such an historical... More

The restaurant is beautiful and I reccommend at least going for a drink. I was not impressed with the quality of food. They also took too long in between courses and it was very expensive.

Despite an extensive selection that looked appetizing, most of the items on the brunch buffet were a let down. We did not care to get second helpings of anything. Service was inattentive and we had to make an effort to flag down our waitress simply for coffee and water refills. Really a shame, and a wasted opportunity on Belhurst's part.... More

I am vegetarian and Edgars certainly is not, But I was able to enjoy a delicious meal by ordering vegetable sides a la carte. They were nicely prepared and the portions generous; two made a meal. My aunt had the prime rib and raved about it. I always recommend the Sunday brunch to first-timers; first-rate selection at basement prices.

Although the surroundings are exquisite and the restaurant is nice and its employees are very friendly and polite, one of the most important features of the breakfast experience leaves a lot to be desired. It was unacceptably slow. It took 75 minutes (1hr and 15 minutes) to have coffee and eggs. For the next 3 mornings of this vacation will... More

Belhurst Castle is a beautiful venue. Edgar's is a lovely restaurant especially if you are seated in one of the smaller rooms. The service is very good and there is a decent wine list. While the menu looks interesting, we didn't feel that the execution was quite as good as it should have been. The duck breast was prepared medium... More

Located inside the Belhurst Castle, Edgar's is a fine dining experience well worth the time. The dining area is exquisitely decorated in the style common to the late 1890s and early 20th century, fitting in nicely with the castle itself. The food is totally 5 star dining, with a chef that would give Bobby Flay or Cat Cora a run... More

Edgar's is starting to show its age. Dining room has a mildew odor, probably excerpted b old, leaky A/C units. Service was good, but food was average and far from exciting. A well done tenderloin was overcooked to the point of being dry and crispy around the edges. A medium prime rib had no pink showing, again overcooked and dry.... More
