Great grounds and view for those of us who love the water. The food, on the other hand, was merely mediocre. In fact, my lobster dish was undercooked and the mango basmati rice was something I've done better at home. The prices were commensurate with extraordinary fine dining although the food was far from extraordinary! Nevertheless, the castle is worth... More

Our friend got the special four course menu of the night and we all agreed that he got the best meal by far. The meal consisted of salad, veggie soup, beef tenderloin Diane in a cognac sauce and bread pudding for dessert all for the price of $35.00. I had an allergic reaction to my barley risotta with andouille sausage... More

We sat outside and it was absolutely gorgeous, overlooking Seneca lake. The server was a "professional server" and has been here over 13 years. However, we would recommend the prix fix menu. They seem to prepare frequently and efficiently. We also ordered off the regular menu and it left much to be desired. The French onion soup was watery and... More

Ate at Egors for breakfast. Was delicious!!! We had the stuffed French toast that had mixed berries in the center with cream. They also give you a cup of fresh fruit that was also very good. Prices are a bit high, but it was a nice treat!!

Our meal was good. Not the best we have ever had. A little over priced for what it was. I don't mind paying $37 for an entree but these were not really worth it. The wait staff was a little clumsy too.

We stayed at the castle for 2 nights and had dinner at Edgar's . The service and meal were great and the atmosphere was very upscale and romantic with the lake view. The mere is a bit small and limited and I felt a little over priced but we enjoyed the food. We also had breakfast in the morning and... More

First, it was just awesome to dine in a castle. Second, it was a castle with an incredible view of Seneca Lake Third, the meal was fantastic! There is also a Tavern if you are not interested in the fine dining. Do not miss this!

We are here during our stay last week and the NY strip special (we both had it) was very good. Nice atmosphere, good food, & you didn't feel rushed. A very nice dinner.

How exciting to dine in a real life castle. The decor is quite elegant and you feel like royalty with the huge stone fireplaces and elaborate wood carving. Our dining room overlooked the beautiful lake and there is a walking trail down to the docks to enjoy the waterfront. The fare I thought was outstanding and our server was helpful,... More

We had the Seneca tasting for our anniversary. The six wines were quite good paired with an excellent 6 courses. We had oyster Kilpatrick which my husband loved, and he doesn't like oysters. Home made carrot pasta with zucchini and heirloom tomatoes wth spring pea pesto was amazing, and the apricot glazed lamb paired with my favorite Manitou wine was... More
