We planned our visit to Geneva around our dinner reservations at this restaurant. It was our first travel since COVID 19 began. We took the 2 hour drive specifically for this experience. Overall, it was very good. The positives: 1. The bread, butter options, and...appetizers with sauces were all amazing! 2. The wine pairings (we chose the middle option) were well planned and explained. 3. The food for the meat eaters in our group was excellent. (More about this below) 4. JJ was a wonderful hostess. 5. The table set up was perfect for social distancing. 6. We all agreed the corn dish was really great!! The cons: 1. As a pescatarian, I was disappointed in my replacements for the meat dishes, especially the entree. My companions had duck and I was offered a very dry, over cooked chick pea patty. This is the main reason I did not rate FLX 5 stars. I was really hoping for a fish, or equally tasty option. 2. We arrived a bit early and were not able to enter the restaurant until 8:15pm so don’t bother getting there any earlier. Luckily it was a nice night and we walked around. 3. When we were finally welcomed in, we were seated at a bar like area and offered drink menu. We had been wine tasting all day so we declined. We ended up sitting there almost 20 minutes. Seemed a bit of a waste of time and space. Overall, I do recommend FLX. The staff members are fun and accommodating. I hope they are able to upgrade the non-meat offerings for future guests. I would go back again.More

We decided to treat ourselves during a weekend away and I am so glad we did. The service was great, the food was delicious and the experience was awesome. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every second of our experience....They even did a fun celebration at the end to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. I would absolutely recommend FLX Table to everyone. It’s pricey but worth every penny.More

The restaurant only seats twelve clients and only open Thursday thru Saturday. Reservation are a must. We added the wine pairing to dinner. The service is top notch. They explain very course of food and the wine that is pair with it. It is expenses...but wroth very penny.More

What a great experience. The food and atmosphere were excellent. We celebrated several birthdays at the table and had such a great night. Highly recommend this experience. Definitely 5☆s from us

From start to finish a wonderful unique dinning experience for 14 lucky people. There are 2 seatings and one large table beautifully designed for maximum appeal. Comfortable surroundings with delicious food, my friends loved their dinner as much as I loved my vegan option. The...chef was very familiar with plant based ingredients and created a feast for me, first rate! The courses flowed one into the other with perfect wine pairings and just the right amount of food. I wish there was an option for this kind of community dinning centered around fresh well prepared ingredients near me!More

I will admit, if it were not for all of the hype I might have given this restaurant a better rating, but there are times when you just get a "feel" for a place that thinks they are better than they are, and the arrogance...takes away from a place that has potential. The reservation system is annoying - making you "buy tickets" ahead of time, and justifying this by claiming that "our small restaurant can't survive otherwise." Really? unlike virtually every other restaurant in the world? But truthfully their decision to go this route is likely due to their belief that they are on-par with Per Se (Newsflash: you are not). In fact I recently dined at a 3-star Michelin Restaurant in San Francisco, and they actually know how to take reservations like everyone else! So, not sure exactly what the issue is. OK, on to the food: the opening course is family style and has numerous local produce and breads with multiple flavored oils and butters. Very creative and well done. The courses that followed were very well executed but honestly a little too "micro-chique." The food cost is decent, and not overpriced IMO. The remainder of the courses are small but worth it - certainly a very skilled kitchen with one glaring error of the evening (see below). The wine offerings are numerous, and cost more than the food. They take a lot of time to talk about the wine and their selection and clearly they are experts in this arena. One of the most irritating (but kind of amusing) things was the way they poured their precious wine- with a pipette measuring device to make sure they don't give you a ml too much! (and no, they don't give you very much at all- a swallow and a half per pour). My companion had the beer pairings and one of them was so foul that they had to replace it for not only her, but the other people drinking that course. But this was actually fun - so I can't complain too much about it. So, when it comes to my ratings I might have given them a 4 if it were not for the fact that the short-rib course was so poorly executed. Now I LOVE short-ribs and I make them all the time. I loved the flavor profile and their dish could have been the highlight of the evening, but their short rib was SOOOO DRY!!!! I just can't forgive this. I am an amateur chef and I've never dried out a short rib so much in my entire cooking life. A professional kitchen should know better. So why 3 stars? I also have a new rule that any restaurant that uses Tock for their reservations automatically loses one rating. So they lose 1 for this and the other for over-braising the short rib. My overall impression from my one visit is that this is a gourmet run shop in need of an actual gourmand- or a wine expert in need of a more experienced chef. This is acceptable, of course, but the owners should maybe more aptly package their brand as a "wine bar," rather than a restaurant- or, at least concentrate a bit more on food than wine for a bit (and just increase your prices instead of being so stingy on the wine that you need to use pipettes!).More

For my birthday this year we celebrated at an intimate 5 course prix fixe dinner with wine pairings by Michalis, served by Scott, and prepared by chef Alex. FLX Table was chosen by USA today as best new restaurant in it's 2017 Readers Choice poll,...and it's clear to see why. We joined 12 others at a rustic table with boxes of herbs cascading above us. We were spoken to by name for each course and wine pairing. It was an intimate experience with outstanding service without being stuffy or formal. It was fun! Chef Alex explained each course, and each diner's meal was paired with a different wine - my pairings were different from Rick's. The 2.5 hour experience ending with all the guests putting on party hats to sing Happy Birthday to me while Michalis served a faux chocolate cake. The playlist thru dinner was upbeat and the pacing was perfect. The meal was delicious starting with the Farmer's Board of fresh and roasted veggies and a loaf of Amazing Grains Bread. Several butters and dipping sauces were on the table to sample. Two vegetable courses were followed by a beef course and finally super sweet strawberries with small dollops of cheesecake - mine paired with a dessert wine from Germany. It was an incredible evening that I highly recommend!More

My business colleagues and I had a great dining experience at FLX. There is one large table that you share with others. We chose an unbelievable wine pairing with varied and old wines paired with super creative dishes. Each dish delicately prepared for a great...“foodie” experience. The vegetables were outstanding, especially the corn on the cob with various butters. We especially enjoyed the tuna, prepared perfectly. Hard to score a table here so call we’ll ahead with limited seating.More

We had an incredible dining experience at FLX Table! We were welcomed at a side room when we walked in and enjoyed some Sherry and Champagne as we waited for the table to get set. We sat at a beautiful communal table and we were...served 5 courses, food was creative and really tasteful. We also opt in for wine pairings and everything was paired perfectly with wines from all over the world. All across the board everything was excellent with impeccable attention to detail. Cannot wait to go back!More

I don't remember having to pay anything beyond our initial charge; I believe that everything is included there unless other wines are ordered. I do think that a gratuity was added to our wine purchase.
