This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Forest Hills area. The food is authentic, and well prepared. The lady who owns the restaurant is so nice and very friendly and warm.
The curries are the best. Many times in Thai restaurants, they boil the...coconut milk and the oil seperates and floats on top. Not with the curries here: They retain full flavor and body, without the seperation-a sign of good curry making. The chicken green curry is particularly outstanding, as is the Masuman curry. The Pad Thai is also quite good-be sure to ask for it with chicken AND shrimp. The Chicken Sate is tasty as well, the house salad with peanut dressing fabulous, and the Green Papaya salad is wonderful as well.
The reason for four instead of 5 stars is as follows:
1. The coconut water drink comes out warm: you will have to ask for ice in a glass to cool it down, but then it is delicious;
2. There are a few items to avoid: Thai vegetable rolls are served with yellow "French's" mustard; The mee krob is also not good.
3. When the girl waitresses are serving, they are all very nice, and efficient. The one male server is not-not interested, a bit rude, and much too interested in talking to the girls than paying attention to customers. Try to get one of the girls to take your order and serve you.
On top of it all, T-F, from 12-3, they have the best lunch deal in town. For $7.95, you get an entree (including choice of curries, and noodle dishes), with either salad or soup. I go often for the lunch, which simply cannot be beat and is fabulous for the price.
