Lets first talk about the atmosphere. It's loud, it's crowded, and the walls are covered in dollar bills and soju posters. If you're looking for a nice restaurant experience, the atmosphere here will turn you away since it sounds like a party from opening to close. I didn't know that Bada Story was just serving like only sushi and sashimi. I don't like eating raw fish so we bounced out of Bada Story and into Sik Gaek which I have been DYING to try for years now. It was like a 15-20 mins wait and we were #36. Had a photo shoot by the wings and... More

I saw reviews by Bourdain and others. We had the Seafood Hot Pot. Ours was not cooked at the table it was brought to the table precooked. Not a lot of seafood. It was heavy with cut squid and lots of veggies and noodles. Definitely not worth the price. I lived in Korea for nearly five years and seek out... More

Located under the 7 train near the 51st Street Station, this is where I go for my Korean food fix if I don't feel like traveling to Flushing or Manhattan. If you love Seafood, this is the place. I love the bar atmosphere and feel like I am no longer in New York. The only disappointing thing is that I... More

We stopped by for family (parents and two tweens) dinner before going to Queens Archery Club which is close by. We love flushing, Queens which is the real China Town and now parts Korea Town in New York City. We love Korean food and usually go to Kum Gang San, and we thought Sik Gaek will be very similar, lots... More

Seafood...Seafood...I love eating seafood pot in Korean restaurants. However, the seafood pot is being cooked in front of you, so you get to see the live seafood (esp squid keeps moving) being cooked in the pot...A little awkward and gross, but tasted great.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant and it was by far the best "deal" we got our entire trip to NYC. We walked in as soon as they opened and were surprised that it wasn't busy at all. Since I never tried live octopus before I was really hoping I could try it. Unfortunately, they did not have... More

Decided to give them a try after realizing they serve raw octopus, although i had it in the pass and it doesn't taste like anything, I wanted to give it a second try. We ordeded the seafood hotpot, think it was $80...but they give me tons of food for the money paid. Good, low key, food oriented establishment, foodies heaven.... More

This review is for their Woodside location. The place is small, so be prepared to wait a while on busy nights. Recommend making reservations. Food is incredible. My husband spent a year in Korea, so we're always on the hunt for a good Korean restaurant, and this one by far, is the best we've had in the area. Service is... More
