I have been to papa gallos several times and have enjoyed the food and drinks very much. I like the house Margherita and the chips and salsa. Decent wine selection too. Sitting outside in the summer is lovely.

We went the day after the latest major snow storm. Light crowd on a Wednesday night, all due to the weather. We started with half off house margaritas and steak nachos. The margaritas were wonderful and the nachos a hit, with tender meat, crisp veggies,...More
My wife and I love hitting this place... super friendly waitstaff, fast service and yet not rushed... We tend to go there at lunch for the $9.95 lunch special (lots of choices to pick and a drink). I get the diablo burrito. Spicy, yet not...More
This is not my first visit. The reason we return is the freshness of the food. The guacamole is the best I have ever had:) yum yum! I decided to do the special. Steak and lobster tacos. Not disappointed! The beef was tender. The flavor...More
I don't know what the other people are talking about this place is amazing. No chips and salsa isn't free but during happy hour all their apps are 25% off and the ahi tuna tastes way better than chips and salsa anyway. I always get...More
The restaurant seems to be a favorite of young adults. My grandson, age 21 and his girlfriend consider it the best restaurant in Syracuse. It has all the usual Tex-Mex items. Chicken, beef, shrimp with beans and rice in a variety of shapes and forms,...More
First let me say that as a person who has spent the majority of my life in Texas I am very well-versed in what Mexican food should be. I was curious to find out if Papa Gallo served Mexican or Tex-Mex. Upon studying the menu...More
Wish we had checked Trip Advisor before our visit. Like others mentioned, most Mexican restaurants have free chips and salsa. Their chips and salsa are a $4.99 appetizer. I ordered an ice tea for $2.50 and received a small bar glass (maybe 8 oz) with...More
Took my mother here last night obviously not bothering to read the reviews first. Two stars is about all I can give this place. Starting with the atmosphere inside which is terrible. Place looks old and rather beat up and was dark and dank. We...More
We love southwestern food but this is not a place to get it. The meal was OK, but we found it expensive for what you get. It was also noisy in a bit crowded; did not like the atmosphere.
