Wife and I used to go to the Melting Pot in Forest Hills all the time years ago. Unfortunately they closed that location. We were trying to find a place to celebrate our 31 wedding anniversary and this popped up. We haven’t been to a...Melting Pot in 20 years and I can say it was just as good as we remembered. Place was extremely clean, staff very friendly and food was outstanding. We did the dinner for two and it was plenty of food. I also had the local wine flight which was also very good. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks for making our anniversary that much more special.More

This is the perfect restaurant for any occasion. It is good for these times because the tables are already spaced apart and they are taking even more measures to ensure your safety. The food was good as always and we enjoyed our first meal out...since the quarantine. the alpine cheese fondue and the flaming turtle were the highlights of our dinner.More

The cheese is so freakin garlicky you couldn’t enjoy it. You cook the meat in boiling water?! And it comes out gray. Absolutely disgusting.More

Went here with my wife, 2 sons and a couple of friends with their young daughter. I had never been to a place like this where you cook your own food and it was pretty cool. The waiter gave us instructions of how to do...it and the food tasted terrific. My 2 teenage sons had fun cooking the food also. I was in a rush this night but I will definitely be back when I have more time to enjoy the experience.More

Celebrated a family member birthday here for the SECOND time since the first experience was so good! Had a private room for 6 people and enjoyed a great 3 course fondue dinner, cheese with bread/veggies; oil/broth with seafood and steak; and varieties of chocolate with...cake and fruit! Always a fun experience!More

Without a doubt my worst experience at a restaurant. This was my first time visiting the melting pot. Despite many friends telling me how great it was, I’ve had quite the opposite experience. Service was absolutely horrendous, food was definitely sub par. We waited 5...hours total for our three courses. Wait staff seemed to literally care less, as male staff members were too busy flirting with the female wait staff to do their jobs and not leave patrons sitting for hours at a time. We were without water for a large portion of the meal because employees were too busy “having fun” and joking around with each other. None of these individuals should be working in a restaurant as it appears there was no training what so ever. They close at 10:00 pm, it’s currently 11:30 pm as I’m leaving this review and we STILL have yet to receive our final course. Update: After meal was completed we had to send back the check 3 times because of being overcharged. Asked to speak to manager, very nervous and unable to properly communicate in a leadership role. PLUS on top of this 20% tip was forced on the bill, 20% tip for service that was never received. I have never had such an awful experience at an establishment and I wouldn’t expect this based on things I’ve heard. I will MAKE SURE that I will never return, my family will never return, and I will tell friends to take their business elsewhere. A poor excuse for a restaurant. I will not be returning and I 110% DO NOT recommend ANYONE to try this restaurant if they are considering. Take your business elsewhere.More

It was my first time there and we asked out waiter to explain how the menu works because it was a little confusing he didn’t do a great job explaining but whatever that could just be the waiter. Then we were only allowed 1 cheese...okay fine. We choose the Wisconsin cheddar which is beer based all I tasted was beer the whole time but even after we let it cook off. Now on to the entree we paid nearly $50 per person for each of us to get 4 pieces of the three things we ordered. That’s never going to fill a full size person. We had to cook it ourselves which is apart of the experience so that’s fine but it took soooo long to cook and we were already so hungry. The pan was so large and hot someone at my table got burned and her skin was stuck to the pan!!!! Eventually the pan turned itself off and out food wouldn’t cook. The waiter was never anywhere to be found when we needed water or when we wanted to see what was up with the pan. At this point we were still hungry and annoyed we decided to skip dessert and go eat dinner at home. NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN!More

Brought the (teen) kids here to celebrate a birthday. The fondue started out great — it was fun dipping the assorted breads and veggies in our chosen cheese. (You have to pick just one.) But the main course was just awful. It took forever for...them to bring it out, and then we had to wait so long for the broth to heat, and then to cook the food. We were miserable. I would never, ever do that again. The dessert fondue was really good. But when we got the check we nearly fell on the floor. It was super expensive! If I ever find myself back here, I would get the fondue and dessert, but will never again eat an entree at The Melting Pot. Overall was one star for awful entree and service — the second star is for the tasty fondue and dessert. (Which I could really make at home for a fraction of the cost.)More

We go here a couple times a year. Those are the only times I ever order a martini, the Ying/Yang. The food is absolutely delicious and the whole experience is great. Makes you slow down, ignore time, and just eat, drink, and be merry.

You can buy them online or in person at the restaurant. Also sometimes your local drugstore might have them. I have seen them in CVS near me... (they would let me post the link but Google helps)
