Our order came a hour late. They forgot our dumplings when they finally came and that is all my mom got. Called them back and they had terrible customer service. Worst place ever. Do not order from here!
Fresh and delicious food. Loved it here tonight. Can’t wait to order again. We had chicken and broccoli and chicken goyza (dough was thin and perfectly pan fried) and hibachi chicken. The best takeout Chinese I’ve had in a long time!
We used to love this place but tonight we were purposely hung up on twice on the phone when we called after our Uber Eats order was cancelled. Extremely rude saying they were too busy. Never experienced such poor and overtly antagonist customer service. Despite...the great food in the past, we will not be patronizing Sakura Garden again, and will make sure friends and family are aware of this evil undertone that exists within what would seem like a great place to eat. Someday, they will be wondering why the phone doesn't ring anymore.
Don't believe any mgt response to this review as it will obviously be defending a poor business practice.More
Sorry poor. Chinese menu not good at all. Threw away the left overs. I would not try the sushi. Raw fish really?? No chance.
I know there is a lot of competition in the area but good luck. Suggest you step it up a bit....Would be worth a few extra bucksMore
After work we had to run several errands. Didn’t feel like cooking so we stopped at Sakura. A staple for us. Fantastic sushi! I had the 9 piece sushi and a peanut avacado roll. Sooo good, fresh and zero waiting. My wife had the “Winter...roll”. One of her favs! The restaurant is clean, food is very good, service typically quick. Maybe time for some newer booths. Keep it nice but most of all comfortable. I’ll keep going and so should you.More
I was on the fence whether to give this place a shot or not. Reason being, they have an extensive Chinese menu so I thought to myself, "how good could their sushi be?"
As skeptical as I was, I'm glad I gave this place a...try. The restaurant is very outdated and isn't quite as pretty as it could be. Looks like any other take-out Chinese restaurant. Our hearts were set on sushi, so that's what we went for. We went for a few special rolls and traditional nigiri. The rolls themselves were quite nice. Tasty, fish was fresh, and there was a nice balance between the rolls and sauces on top. I also have no complaints upon the nigiri. Being quite impressed with the sushi, I asked the chef for his signature roll. After all, every sushi chef has their signature roll. He made us something I've never had before and it was magical. This roll was not wrapped with seaweed, soy paper, nor with rice. With about 5 different types of raw fish, it was all wrapped with paper thin tuna. This was not only impressive, beautiful, but extremely tasty. I would absolutely return and this Chinese-menu focused restaurant surprised me. If it was a stand-alone sushi focused restaurant, I think this restaurant would have something special. Perhaps I'd give the Chinese food a try (Generally, I'm not a fan), but for now I'd definitely recommend the sushi.More
I had a little spare time on Saturday, so I visited this small sushi restaurant for lunch. I found it to be ANOTHER pretty decent (but not standout) sushi restaurant that offered a tasty lunch special. I had the California roll and the eel-with-avocado roll,...which was accompanied by a salad and a bowl of miso soup. These were both tasty, although I noticed that my miso soup had less in it than usual...it was mostly broth. The sushi was good though, and I enjoyed the eel roll. Overall, I though this place was good without being great, but I would go back again.More
I tried Sakura Garden Sushi and Asian Food this evening. Perhaps I should have paid attention to my first thought about a place that does sushi and the very general “Asian Food.”
I ordered the Chirashi, one of my favorite dishes that I have eaten...many times in the USA, Canada, and Asia. I have never experienced the presentation that Sakura Garden served.
First came a bland miso soup, lacking the usual tofu and scallions. The soup was served with an iceberg lettuce salad with a sugary dressing that was more Pennsylvania Dutch than Japanese.
The chirashi was not served in a bowl over sushi rice, but was served on a flat plate with little mountains of spiralized daikon and curly kale. One mound contained sushi rice that was more cool than warm.
The quantities of daikon made the whole dish too watery in flavor so that the sashimi wimped our.More
