Had eaten at Mulconry's twice before, each time ordering the Fish and Chips. Fish was fresh, battered and cooked just right, fries were very good Third time, the food was terrible. Fish was a frozen rectangle, cooked to a crisp - actually burnt. Could not...eat the burnt batter and the fish was almost too tough to eat. Fries were overcooked as well. And then found out they stopped serving coffee. No social distancing in bar - few masks Do not know what caused such a change within a month but we won't go back.More

I've always enjoyed the food at this local Irish pub, although I will admit that I thought the amount of cheddar cheese on top of the Shepherd's Pie altered the taste I was looking for this time. But the meal was still good, and we...did enjoy it. Service was adequate, and we would go back in the future.More

Really wanted a corned beef dinner and am still wanting one! A long wait in a sparsely populated dining room. Figured corned beef is mostly pre made, just didn’t realize that it was made last week. Burned and room temp carrots, room temp potato and...brown cabbage. More fat than eatable meat, overall a disappointing meal. Server was very gracious and offered to bring more but what would be different. Mr. Mulconry would not have enjoyed this meal, I hope.More

What happened to this Irish Pub/Restaurant? Returned the Shepherds Pie and had it removed from the bill (see image if you can stomach it). The beef resembled a leftover hamburg patty that was chopped up and reheated in oil from a grease trap, mashed potato...resembled a reheated leftover undercooked baked potato. Vegetable was under cooked, if at all. Clove, cinnamon and nutmeg where nowhere to be found This dish was my favorite back in the day. Hope they go back to the old recipe.More

Big restaurant. Patio out beside the street. Standard pub fare. Average service. Not too far from the Canal.

On a re-visit, I found the staff are still friendly and helpful. The menu of Irish and American fare is not large, but it is adequate, especially for lunch. I had a Friday fish-fry. The fish was done to a dark brown but good. There...were two “chicken-finger” sized lumps. The tartar sauce was good if a little “pickley.” Instead of fries, I got onion rings, unfortunately, they were panko breaded not battered. The coleslaw was so-so. They do have WI-fi and music some evenings – mostly on Fridays.More

Mulconry's is a great Irish pub in the heart of the village of Fairport, just across the street from the canal. You can't find Harp in too many places and they always have some kind of music on weekends. Great food too.

I am really trying to like Mulconry's. It is a nice place. The food is average to good depending on what you order and how busy the kitchen it. The wait staff is really good. I am not sure why the bartenders aren't up to...par with the wait staff. We have been here three times in the last month and the staff at the bar has never been good. The last time on a Friday night there were probably 15-20 people max at the bar and four bartenders and they seemed to be too busy looking at their phones or dancing with each other to serve us. I think one the four was really stocking clean glasses. In mid-March it was a very busy Saturday night and the bartender had a really poor attitude when our group tried to order drinks. It's too bad because the rest of the Mulconry's staff is great. The place is clean. There are a couple different parking options and they do have live music some nights. Sorry Mulconry's I don't get it. I am trying to like you but you fix your bar staff. Bad nights happen once in a while but it has been a while since we have had good service at the bar.More

If you go there ONLY for the potato leek soup and homemade brown bread, it's still worth the trip! I could eat it every day, and they will even sell you an entire loaf of the bread to take home. The other pub food selections...are good quality, served hot and fresh, and often enough to take home leftovers. The shepherd's pie is a favorite in my family. Service is fast and friendly, and they're happy to recommend food and drink if you can't decide, or aren't familiar with the selections. The only thing that keeps me from giving this five stars is the ambient noise level, not in the dining room, but in the pub area. A crowd of twenty can sound like fifty. Not a good choice if you wear hearing aids.More
