My husband I were at Maple Lawn restaurant earlier today for lunch. When we were ready to leave, we asked for take out containers like we usually do..the waitress put the containers in a white plastic bag for us. I went up to pay the...bill and my husband forgot to grab the bag off the table. We just realized that my UNTOUCHED DELI TURKEY sandwich that we paid $9 for, (because I had a side salad) and my husband's leftovers that he gives to our dogs, were forgotten in the restaurant. I just called them to see if they put it away for us so I could come pick it up...OMG..a young girl put the MANAGER on the phone..talk about RUDE! Her words "we threw that in the trash and we aren't going to make you another sandwich because it would cost us money!" OMG..who asked you to make another??? I guess it's okay that it cost US money though. My husband's leftovers for the dogs were no big deal...but a $9 sandwich! I didn't even ask for them to make me another one.. Well guess what "MAPLE LAWN"....you just lost 2 very good customers who were spending over $500 a month! YES, we spent that much..we were there almost every day and if anyone has ever been there, you know how high their prices are! We never get out of there for less than $30. Today's lunch was $33.67 (1/2 pound burger and fries, one cup of coffee, a small side salad and a turkey sandwich) I don't understand why the waitress didn't call us to say we forgot it..we just gave her our phone number for the rewards program. What a way to treat LOYAL customers!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! 😡More

Was an honest customer at "Maple Lawn" for year's with good food and outstanding service. This morning had breakfast and was the only customer in the restaurant. They kept pushing the mask and the restaurant was like having breakfast in a prison camp. The old...day's are over with at this restaurant. My best advice, keep away and hope, we discover some for sale on the windows soon.More

Stopped on our way thru traveling- friendly cozy place. Good coffee, sweet coleslaw, warm dinner rolls and generously portioned dinners of farm fresh liver, never frozen BIG beef burgers and homemade mashed potatoes! Waitstaff was pleasant and attentive. Homemade ice cream and pies in many...flavors all we tried were very tasty. SADLY, the no sugar added is only a summer available item:(More

Been here for dinner before, but never for lunch. Predictably lunch was great. Great service, nice lunch options, reasonable prices, and great service.

We like to try local restaurants when we travel. The waitress was very friendly and asked if we had been there before. This was our first visit but we will stop again! She brought us a complimentary dish or warm chips and salsa. Delicious! My...husband had the liver and onions and said it was in the top 5 of all time liver and onion dishes. The burger was fresh, never frozen. We enjoyed our dinner but no room for dessert- next time!More

We went in excited for dessert. I met the hostess at the sign and told her that there were 5 of us and that we were just getting dessert. She asked if we would like to be served at the counter or if we would...like to be seated. I stated that we would like to be seated and waited on and not stand at the counter, especially since there were already 2 people being waited on and we were planning on ordering sundaes – the pizookie, a piece of Reese’s cake, and a brownie sundae, along with two other desserts. She said that we could be waited on at the counter and then sit to eat. I again explained that I would prefer to be seated and waited on. She then said that it would be a wait to clean up tables. There were many small tables empty but supposedly the large tables were filled/dirty. I said that was fine and she was not happy with my answer. She then left to bus the tables. A woman, a man, and their son came blazing into the restaurant, pushed past all 5 of us and up to the hostess station. The hostess quickly stopped bussing our table and seated them. I looked at the waitress Gabby and said, "We were waiting to be seated prior to them coming in." She just looked at me with large eyes. Then the manager came up and snipped that the hostess was bussing the table but because someone else came in she stopped. When the hostess returned she started saying that she thought that we had told them to go around us, which we did not. She then was justifying that we should have eaten at the counter. I explained that the young man working the counter was still making the ice creams for those that were there before us. She then stated that she would have made our ice creams. These are my questions: Why did she stop bussing our table to seat customers that came in after us? How would a table be cleaned up and ready for us to sit at if she was the one bussing the table and was also making the ice cream desserts that we wanted? I was extremely disappointed to be treated so poorly by your staff. I also want to commend Gabby for doing an excellent job serving us with a smile although I know that she was nervous to. I am disappointed by the rudeness of both your hostess and manager and do not feel that they demonstrated wanting returning customers. I did not receive my loyalty points or coupon, but honestly that is a moot point following the extreme rudeness by your hostess.More

Excellent service, good comfort food, terrific desert menu. The place is clean, in good shape, and nicely decorated. If you like a restaurant that is packed to the gills with people then I guess you could say that it has nice ambiance. It was a...little hectic and noisy for us, however. Although its a "dairy" we were pleasantly surprised to find that they serve beer and wine. Terrible selection of beer (only American lagers and lite beers, no imports or craft beer), but any port in a storm.More

Went there for dinner last night with a friend. It's definitely off the beaten path (for city folk), but what a pleasant surprise. Parking right in front and it's handicapped accessible with electronic sliding doors for the inner entryway. It's brightly lit with an ice...cream counter as you walk in. Booths and tables are in the back to the right and left. We were seated quickly and spent quite a bit of time perusing the menu. It's fairly expansive ranging from wraps to salads, steak to shrimp, pasta and a great selection of appetizers. Wait staff was extremely pleasant and efficient. We were there for about an hour, but only because we were relaxing and chatting. Food was served in about 10 minutes - they were a bit busy but not crowded at all. We got ice cream (fresh home made hard-packed) to go that was deliciousness! I will definitely be back for more!More

Our family met there and we were seated quickly at a large round table. The waitress was efficient and the food was excellent. The sundae that my husband and I shared was one of the best we have ever had. If we are back in...Elmira, we will return to eat there because it is that good.More

We had an amazing experience tonight. The restaurant was a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive to get to it. The place was warm and welcoming and service was very good. Before we ordered the waitress brought us some complimentary deep...fried flatbreads, which resembled tortilla chips, and salsa for dip. They were fresh and tasty. We ordered a tuna salad sandwich with potato chips and the Icelandic haddock grilled with Old Bay seasoning, salad with blue cheese dressing and broccoli. The tuna salad sandwich was huge and tasty. With the first bite of my salad I knew I was launched into salad dressing heaven. I have never tasted a dressing so good as this. It had a very fresh dairy taste that was punctuated by a blue cheese taste that was not overpowering. It was obvious but I was told that it was indeed house made. The fish was excellent too. We did leave enough room for desserts I we shared a “small” Dusty Miller sundae. It towered out of the small dish and always looked like it was going to collapse all over the table. We both used two spoons to balance it and eat it. Well we didn’t have to worry about it falling because we ate it fast enough. One scoop of vanilla, one scoop of white chocolate cherry. Both were creamy and delicious. Warm chocolate sauce overflowed from the bowl which was dusted with malt powder. Topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. Exquisite! I wish I lived nearby so I could be a regular at this place.More

My wife and daughters while recently visiting the Seneca Lake region had the opportunity to have a great breakfast at this fine establishment. It was Mothers Day morning around 10am and we arrived to find the parking lot packed, but lucky enough to get a...spot as some couples were leaving. The place was hopping, and we were seated actually very quickly even with the crowd. Our waitress was Paula C. and she was a trip. She was all smiles, talkative and efficient, and for as busy as the place and she was I admired her ability to get it all done with ease and never seem to miss a beat as she moved around all the tables and customers. My daughters enjoyed Biscuits and Sausage Gravy with different sides and truly enjoyed, stating it was some of the best they had ever eaten, while my wife and I enjoyed bacon and eggs, done perfectly as well as sides of French Toast and home fries and wheat toast. All delicious. If you are visiting the area, make a point to visit for breakfast, you wont be disappointed. Look for the long red building with the polar bear on the roof standing, cant miss it. Enjoy, we certainly did.More
