Tonight my husband and I tried out this Thai restaurant for the first time. Most of the food was lovely and whilst we were inside the restaurant the staff provided good service. There was only one starter that neither my husband and I enjoyed. However,...that was down to personal taste and not their cooking. However, I got the feeling us not eating the dish may have caused offence as they asked three times if we wanted it bagged to take home. Then they asked why we didn’t want to take the leftovers home. This restaurant is cash only, so we got what we thought would be enough for the meal plus tip. However, the meal came to a little more than we expected, leaving less for the tip. However, we left all the change we had, and begin to leave the restaurant. We were outside walking to the bus stop and my husband was saying how lovely the restaurant was and how we would definitely go back. However, at that moment the waitress came outside holding the tip we had left and shouting at us, saying that we hadn’t left enough of a tip—that it wasn’t 15%. The last time I checked as much as tipping in the USA is commonplace and part of the culture; there is no obligation or legal requirement to tip any amount, never mind 15%. If the restaurant had the facility to accept card payments, we would have been able to tip a larger amount, as could have included the tip on the card payment. However by insisting on cash only it limited the amount we were able to tip. Furthermore, chasing us down the street for a larger tip is abysmal business management. The staff in this restaurant obviously do not realise that by doing this a) they are never getting our business again. b) we will tell friends and family not to provide them with business and c) it made sure that they got no tip at all. For anyone who does venture to this restaurant, you better overestimate how much cash you will need to cover meal and tip. Otherwise, you will probably also get chased down the street for more money.More

Among the best in NYC. Returned recently for a second visit and it was just as good as I remembered it. Don't miss the Thai salads. One with papaya and fried catfish was my favorite. Another with sweet sausage also excellent. Try too the coconut...soup (Tom Yum).More

Thai is my all time favorite, I travel a lot and always try to find good Thai. I am a bit of a Thai snob and this was some of the best I have every had. Prices very good! We byob some beer and 5...of us ate till we were stuffed, for a little under a $100. So good, I can't wait to go back.More

It was very difficult to communicate with the staff as they don't speak English at all although they decided to put a business in an English speaking country. Food is not so wow.

I have had a lot of Thai food, and this restaurant is by far the best ever. Sea bass with spicy lemon sauce was our favorite.

As we walked in there was a question whether we made the right choice, but when the food arrived things got tasty. Really enjoyed the spicy shrimp and vegetables, curry chicken and rice. Just tell them what you want and they will prepare it for...you. Lunch was about $27 for 2.More

Exterior & Interior of restaurant does not looks nice. Especially brown-color wall paint does not make you appetite. However food taste, price, and very attentive servers makes it worth to visit.

The small restaurant is located along Whitney Avenue near Broadway. It's well lit and spaceous enough to maybe seat 20 people. Restroom is small but clean. If you plan to have dinner here, be sure to arrive by 6:00pm so you can dine inside. By...6:30 to 7:00pm the place will be packed with regular customers. Expect to spend anywhere from $10 to $15 each to satisfy a glutton. Always order the Thai Iced Tea with Milk. Always. Always! Personally, my favorite is the Salted fish fried rice with Chinese Broccoli. I've also tried the Spicy Pad Thai, Seafood glass noodles and some other dishes. I haven't had anything I didn't like. The service is great. The staff are friendly. They always greet you with a smile. So please tip well.More

OK, it is not fancy and also small. But the food packs a big "YES" when it comes to Thai cuisine! We were brought here by my partner's nephew who lives nearby and knows the neighborhood. Oh, if only I lived so close.... The steamed...fish, whole or fillet, with spicy lemon sauce and the fried duck salad were big hits. If you are in the neighborhood, I would not miss it!More
