With the current Covid virus making travel impossible as well as dining and restaurants we decided to order out from this little French gem We travel to France quite often and appreciate good French food. A family of four all decided to order their steak...Frites. They got the order perfectly done as each of us have the meats cooked a different temperature The Frites were done perfectly as well as a side order of green beans. We also had a mesclun salad with a delightful blue cheese dressing They included some delicious warm French bread with butter. All the condiments came in separate packaging. As an added bonus, much to our surprise they gave us a complimentary bottle of excellent Sauvignon blanc, The bottle arrived chilled and ready to drink. This is an establishment that cares about the little things that make a good meal excellent even on a takeout delivery basis We look forward to ordering from them again and when circumstances next permit to visiting this little French oasis in WestchesterMore

D'Gabby Fine French Cuisine is a small restaurant on White Plains Road in Eastchester. As soon as you walk in, the setting is European and friendly. We were a party of 7 with two children 11 and 5 years. We were seated by the owner...and were waited on by Gabby. Gabby took to the children, and went out of her way to make the children feel welcome. The Appetizers were escargot, duo terrine, foie gras and carapaccio of salmon. All the dishes were delicious. The chardonnay was wonderfully dry and the french red wine was deliciously robust. For the main meal, we had coq au vin ( just wonderful with the marinated red wine and carmelized onions), duck confit -- a favorite of my 11 year old grandson, the cassoulet, a wonderful duck, sausage and bean stew. All was excellent. To top off the night, there was keyboard music and two wonderful singers. They played pop songs and old favorites, and believe it or not, most everyone in the restaurant sang along. At the end of the dinner two couples were dancing, and after cake, we walked out light hearted, well fed, and in wonderful spirits. I cannot wait to return again very soon!More

Has res for 7p arr @ 6:50p. Was seated . menus did not appear for 10 min-only after we asked for same.Mgr has an attitude problem, was dressed in a casual manner. She told us that 5+ entrees were not available. Then disappeared evidently she...also works the kitchen. We thought we ordered onion soup & duck confit via the man who seated us. Only to find out 20+ minutes later that (per mgr-her tone) "He doesn't take orders only I DO! Oh and as this is "fine restaurant" you will have to wait. The drama continued. We walked out. The setting is cozy. The menu looked interesting but service is totally disjointed. There appears to be only 3 people working- the man who seats you & brings water, the mgr and her father-who brings bread. I would suggest the hiring of additional staff is in order as is an anger mgt course for the mgr. Until their act is together would avoidMore

Charming and Excellent are words we repeat over and over. This engaging and friendly family provides a unique decor and excellent food that is worth finding. Hilcania Castillo is the gourmet chef and Mother of "D Gabby". She has excellent escargot, fish and seafood entrees....Her duck dishes are what we favor. Sergio Gamba is the Host/Bartender and Father of "D Gabby". And the gorgeous daughter, Gabriella Gamba is indeed the "D Gabby" (D is for Daughter). She does everything including going to College.More

This is a small, family run restaurant in Eastchester in the space that was formerly Jackie's Bistro. The food is good - very tasty and well presented - and is a good value. The lamb dishes we had were cooked to order; the escargot was...wonderful - tender, garlicky and swimming in butter. Service was a little slow, but we were not in a rush. Overall, a nice experience. We'll visit againMore

We went with some friends for Dinner and were very pleasantly surprised. Food was great and service very good. The owners are from Venezuela and were excellent hosts. The menu has a very broad selection. We look forward to repeating !!!

A little French place in the middle of Eastchester owned by a family. There's daughter Gabby, father Sergio and mom the chef. Excellent service. We had the beet endive salad with walnuts and Gorgonzola cheese which was wonderful. We also had the pan seared salmon...with black olive mash potatoes and the filet of sole with menuiere sauce with basmati rice. Both were excellent and I recommend highly. Great family with great foodMore

Well, I wanted to like this place. Westchester doesn't have tons of good French Bistro types of places. Onion soup was pretty good, I'll give them that. But it took a LONG time, as did the main dishes. Like, longer than you would have though,...by at least ten or fifteen minutes. On to the mains: I had cassoulet, one of my faves, and it was, let's say, slapdash. It didn't feel like it had simmered and the ingredients therefore didn't mesh, it felt like it was put together right before serving. The beans were too mushy, and it was underspiced. I don't usually add anything, but added pepper, mustard, AND SALT. Other main, Dover Sole Meuniere, was not very good. Did NOT taste like Dover sole, which I've had many times at fine restaurants. Just overall a disappointing meal. Staff was very nice though.More

Had been looking forward to a good French dinner. Unfortunately this was not to be. Steak au poivre was just average. Meat even slightly tough. Staff & owner very nice & accommodating. Onion soup also mediocre.
