I've heard so much about this local pizzeria/Italian ristorante in East Meadow, NY that many people just love their "drunken" sauce on many of your typical Italian entrees like chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana and yes even on their lasagna. It's like your aka vodka sauce but this restaurant uses the term "drunken". Not sure what is used for being "drunken" but it's tasty on practically anything. Great to sop it up with their table bread, garlic bread or their yummy garlic knots. I would even put it on mash potatoes🤣haha... it's just a delicious sauce. The only thing that I would criticize is that on this particular night, it was a bit tad salty. Probably just an over zealous chef with a heavy hand. Everything was still quite delicious 😋 Yum! Their pistachio ricotta cake is great to finish with their tasty strong java. Another great dessert you can't miss is their tartufo. Everyone loves some Italian ice cream after a well prepared, well served meal. Their wait staff is friendly, warm, caring and eager to please. Such a delightful meal we had on this particular occasion. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the table. Look for me by the window! Love that table👍

Pietro's has been in operation since 1976. Why? Because, they serve excellent pizza and Italian food made with quality ingredients. Factor in their warm and friendly customer service, the reasons behind their success.
I stopped in for lunch while in my old neighborhood. I've enjoyed their pizza before but never set foot inside their establishment. It's really a shame. They really have a beautiful restaurant with great seating options including private igloos in the winter.
When I walked in, I was surprised to see that there were no pizzas on display. You order at the counter, pay, and you are served at the table. The lady who took my order was very friendly and outgoing. Between her and the gentleman who brought out the pizza, service was awesome.
The pizza was old world New York style. I found it was very similar to the old Gloria's Pizza in Flushing. It had a robust sauce with tiny chunks of tomatoes. The mozzarella was great quality as well. And the sesame crust was excellent. Perfect for me, as I am a huge fan of sesame bagels.
Overall, I would say this experience was perfect. I would return again very very soon for dinner.

Pietro's has the best pizza I have ever eaten in New York! The onion crust is to die for. The sauce has a delicious flavor. We ordered it with extra sauce, and it was even better.
The chicken parmigiana heros were freshly prepared. The bread was totally fresh and had the perfect texture.
The staff and service are impeccable, highly recommended!

This place has be PUMPED up by Dine LI ! Yes Well! Friendly Every ! Employee . And yes whimsical umbrella set up on patio. Ends there🤬The Medicare garlic bread with not 1 fresh garlic clove, menu description implies dunking oil . No oil Powdered herbs on hot bread. I wanted iced tea so badly Couldn’t bring myself to order bc when you walk in main entrance Saw dust smell And while completely under construction, the iced tea is in that construction area next to a tarp in a plastic container warm.
The chicken in the Parm and Franchese was about an inch thick It needed to be butterfly x3. The franchese was a melted butter sauce? so yes thankful for the 2 lemon wedges to squeeze in. The accompanying sides of pasta were smaller than a kiddie portion- literally 2 ounces of pasta. One guest loved! Eggplant sauce. The shrimp in the parm had 1 inedible shriveled shrimp, the rest …agh The atmosphere they are “ building” is original. DO BETTER! This was like driving down the st and throwing 2 hundred dollar bills into the wind and then getting snacks on way home bc we were hungry.

As usual pietros never fails to impress. Incredible food, atmosphere and staff. If you live on Long Island (or are visiting) find a way to get there. We have never ordered anything we didn’t love.

they had been very good -but- for some reason they changed their meatball recipe from really firm, juicy and good to a sort of bland and cardboard like consistency - no longer recommended.

We order in from here and the sesame crusted pizza is delicious! I was not thrilled with the veal parm hero so I would stay away from that.

Pietro's is consistent, serving excellent pizza and food in a friendly, well-run setting. A true family Italian restaurant, Pietro's is a community asset. The pizza is known far and wide. People who grew up in East Meadow talk about the great pies with crisp crusts with sesame seeds any time they gather. The menu has a variety of selections, all delicious and cooked to perfection. The service is fine and the prices are reasonable. This is a neighborhood delight that always leavers diners satisfied.

Pietro’s pizza in East Meadow is an old time gem. It’s a bit run down but the food is still great. The Caesar salad was really outstanding but the best best was the 5 topppng pizza. Crisp on the bottom yet full of flavorful toppings. It’s small and old but the great taste and large portions more than make up for it

This restaurant is a staple in my home. The best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had. I also love the spaghetti carbonara. Everything is great and I highly recommend trying the entire menu!

Pietros is an East Meadow tradition. The best sesame crust pizza ever. I usually get this delivered and it always arrives hot and crunchy. Great sauce just the right amount of cheese and those sesame seeds, so , so , good. Meatball hero parmagiano is also quite good, forget about what it looks like inside the food is always good. Baked zit and lasagna are also a good choice and enough for at least two people. The meatball hero is enough at least three.
