Pricey for Average Food

Limited lunch menu, portions & presentation were good but not much effort to deliver in taste. The coffee was better than the food.

I went in yesterday for a muffin and a iced tea. Over $8.00 for both was about twice what Citarella or Starbucks would have charged me for the same, and neither is known for low prices and both are around the corner. Pity as I always try to support a local business.

Stopped in for a quick bite before a meeting. Turkey chili with bread was tasty, but not $12 tasty for a small cup. I get it, it's the Hamptons, but I can get better value on the UES of Manhattan.

Like everything in the Hamptons, expect to pay more for something you would normally pay less for in other places. The Golden Pear offers sandwiches and salads for lunch. Also some prepared dishes to take out. There are a few tables but it's not a fancy place. It's average and predictable.

We ate lunch at the Golden Pear two days in a row. The salads are delicious and the vegetarian chile is great too. The Quiche was meh.

The only thing I have had at the Golden Pear is their iced ted. It is literally the best iced tea I have ever had. The iced tea is expensive but worth it. Stop in on a nice warm day and there is nothing better. Highly recommended.

As its sister restaurants in South Hampton and elsewhere, good food and great daily specials. Great Lunch spot with a late breakfast. In all our years at different branches, no complaints! Fresh and good food with knowledgeable staff.

It's all the rage in the Hamptons, but honestly there are better places to eat than here. The bagels are good, don't get me wrong, but if I'm going to wait in line, I'd rather go to Estia's Little Kitchen for breakfast or go to the Sip n' Shop in Southampton

A higher-priced cafe with expensive coffee. If that's your thing, then this is your place. But if you're looking for a cafe with wifi, The Golden Pear does not have it.

If you value your money, stay clear of any of the Golden Pear locations on the east end of Long Island. While the food is very good, it is incredibly over priced. Personally, I think $19 for a chicken salad sandwich and a bottle of soda is a bit extreme. Do yourself a favor and head across the Main Street... More
