This pub is brilliant! We visited the Hamptons after the summer and this pub was recommended by our BnB host. I went with my mother for lunch, we then went around the corner to the movies and then came back for drinks after. It has great atmosphere, it was buzzy, a good find!
Rowdy has, hands down, the best FRENCH onion soup this side of Paris. They have a full menu of all types of food serving both lunch and dinner. Their soups are all really good. Excellent burgers. The only item not first class would have to be the soggy French fries. This is one of the few restaurants in the Hamptons... More
I went back here for the fish and chips, a summer love affair I have had for years with this place. I should have gone with their burger. My plate looked like the bottom of the fryer, and that is not a compliment. Service is OK but it's like they are all waiting for the tip.
great place to have a casual dinner after or before a movie - the east hampton theater is just a few doors down. if the weather is pleasant try to sit outside as it is less noisy and more open. the menu is basically tavern style with excellent burgers and mussels. wines by the glass are what you would expect... It being a nice evening we opted to sit outside, which was a lot nicer as the inside felt a bit crowded and quite noisy. Outdoor... More
Looking for a burger then head over here. It has seating inside and outside and located right in the heart of East Hampton so be prepared to wait in the summer.
I've never been disappointed by a meal at Rowdy. I've been dining here for about 10 years now and the food has stayed consistently good. I've never received bad service, on the occasion I've had to catch my server's eye, but that's about it. In the Summer, I avoid the busy times purposely, so maybe I've just been lucky. But... More
Rowdy Hall is perhaps the East Hampton restaurant where the food is the most consistent. Practically next to the EH movie house the location is really convenient. The food, aside from being consistent is really excellent. Probably the best French onion soup on the east end of Long Island. The ambiance is comfortable with a very busy bar. A favorite... More
