Not bad. Typical pub fair and prices. Service was quick and friendly. The sauce on the chicken parm was great and portion size was large.

Our group really enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious and sizes were perfect. The place looked clean and neat. I saw no dust, and I really looked. We loved the decor with the old Hollywood flair. Our server Valerie was the best. We couldn’t...have asked for a better server. We will definitely be going back next time we are in town.More

I had a take-out dinner of cheese stuffed ravioli with meatballs. I had to wait about 25 minutes for the order to be ready. (To be fair, it was a Friday nite, very busy, and the attendant was on her toes...) The ravioli were very...good, and large! The meatballs were also very good - tender and flavourful. However the tomato sauce was uninspiring - almost like it came from a bottle or can. No salad, and they gave me several slices of Italian bread, but no butter. Overall, the dish was filling, but not something I would return for. The price was a little high for the quality of the food.More

Ate dinner at the Hollywood restaurant while visiting Courtland. Special was ravioli and a salad. Friends got egg plant parmesan and spaghetti with Italian sausage. All were served quickly and hot with a smile. Decor is retro and very cool. Would eat here again. Prices...are reasonable.More

The best part of this restaurant is the Hollywood decor--the entire place is filled with movie posters and photos, and there's a life-size statue of Marilyn Monroe, in the classic airdraft-lifting-her-dress pose, in the center of the dining room. The food, however, is just okay....I had the veal parm, and was disappointed. This wasn't a veal cutlet, it was breaded, pressed chopped veal meat that was soft enough to easily break off bite size pieces with a fork, no knife necessary. The tomato sauce on the veal, and on my side of capellini, was very ordinary and might have come from a can. My side of mixed vegetables was better than the rest of the meal, as it consisted of yellow beans, green beans, and carrots and appeared to have been roasted. Overall, this was a meal of average diner quality, and truthfully, I've had much better meals in diners. That's not to say that it was bad. The prices here are moderate and if you are looking for a budget meal and don't have high expectations, the Hollywood will suit your needs fine. Service was friendly but our server made no effort to refresh our beverages. There is off street parking available.More

We visited for an early lunch with a group of 36 on a bus tour. Can't speak for the regular restaurant but our experience with the group setting was awful. They crammed us into a tiny back room (even though the entire restaurant with a...hundred other seats, or so, was empty). It was extremely loud........with just normal conversation we were so packed in that you couldn't hear the person next to you unless you yelled. Not exactly a relaxing lunch. They had taken the orders in advance and our "Chicken Divine" had clearly been made up before we arrived. The chicken was tough and dry and the melted cheese was cold and dried out. If it hadn't been for the following I'd give this place only two stars............The salad that came with lunch was very good and the warm fresh bread was great. The two girls who did the serving did a great job. They were friendly, responsive and worked hard.More

We were in town last week for my Aunt's funeral and I wanted to eat at the Hollywood. My brother, daughter and I went there for lunch and it's still as good as it ever was! My brother and I shared the buffalo chicken pizza...which was amazing and my daughter had the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and had leftovers to take back to the hotel. I have lots of good memories of the Hollywood from the time I lived in Cortland and I wanted to make sure that my daughter was able to experience this warm, friendly restaurant. Looking forward to another trip under better circumstances.More

If you every lived in Cortland New York you know of the Hollywood. Maybe I should say all of Central New York. This is a great place. Outstanding family restaurant. Very clean, with good parking right next door.

My sons and I went for dinner about 7;30 PM on black Friday. Not alot of people there, but staff seemed to be more concerned about being social with some regulars. My son just moved to this town and the food was good and we...would probably become their new regulars if treated better. Dump 2 of 3 drinks down with aloud plop and no mention of the 3rd drink and then went back to chitchat with that same table. Music was playing which I don't mind normally, but so load that it made it hard to talk across the table. Will say portions are great and all three meals were good. Need better service, not sure if we will try it again.More
