I expected it to be the normal "Greek' restaurant. It definitely was not. Ordered the Spinach Pie, more spinach and vinegar and no Feta. Also got a Chicken Gyro and expected chunks of marinated chicken. It was actually more of the meat like a regular...Gyro- ground and formed and sliced off a large piece, except it was chicken. The Baklava was finely ground walnuts, filo and a little honey. Really could have used some more honey. All in all the food was good and would go back again when in the area.More
No too bad a place. Some friends swear by it so I go more so to share their company. Tombuleh and the Baba are really good. (As well as their hummus.) Traditional Middle Eastern taste and well worth the price.
Meanwhile, their dinner special -...fish in a pita was rather disappointing. I was expecting some sort of Middle Eastern version of a fish taco - some shredded fish with some spices and maybe a sauce? Nope. You get a slab of fried, battered fish (nothing you'd ever find in the Middle East) wrapped in a Pita with lettuce and tomatoes. Bland, cold and tasteless. Avoid.
Go with the Baba wrap.More
I had the special which was a okra/tomato sautee alongside a serving of rice. Absolutely delicious and for less than $10.00! We were a rather large group and some people could not seem to understand that it was a large group for a small establishment,...but even with all the stress our server shined!!!More
The food is always great. The owners take great pride in making the best meals you could ask for. Their ice tea is home made and the best you will find anywhere. The staff always provide first class attention to their customers.
