Let me start by saying I’m not a fan of Italian food. Even so, I loved this place! The gravy was the best I ever had. The veal parmigiana along with everything else brought me as close as I’ve ever been to enjoying Italian food....This place is old New York that sadly you don’t see much anymore. Enjoy it and try it out!More

I don’t know why we don’t eat it more often. We go here for family occasions. 90th birthday party, a lunch following a funeral, and we are never disappointed. The food is excellent, perfectly prepared, and a good value. That does not mean it’s cheap,...it’s just really good food at a moderate price. The veal marsala is out of this world. Pasta is delicious, salad is fresh and cold, and there’s always a decanter of wine on the table. Service is outstanding. And make sure you ask for the lemon tart for dessert. Out of this world.More

This was our first time eating at Park Side, and we were very excited based on the reviews. Maybe we just picked a bad night (it happened to be our 25th wedding anniversary), but we were underwhelmed. All this talk of an awesome bread basket?...Huh? It was a few pieces of what tasted like day-old Italian bread, definitely not especially good bread. There was, however, a small plate of parmesan chunks on the side and two tomato bruschetta –– those were pleasant touches. Service was just okay, nothing special or fancy. There was an inordinately long wait between our appetizer (mini eggplant rollatini - good) and our main courses, such that when my fettucine arrived, I could tell it had been out for a while and reheated in a microwave. The taste was fine, generous portions of truffles and mushrooms. Husband had a giant piece of swordfish which was good. It came with a small bowl of pasta in red sauce. And that's it. I had a glass of house chianti which I don't recommend. Definitely better to pick something off the wine list. We skipped dessert. A few almond biscotti came with the bill which was a nice touch. Overall, a good dinner, but not great. Again, maybe it was just the night.More

I have been to this establishment many times throughout my years and this time around has definitely been the worse as far as service goes. For some reason we didn't get a white shirt waiter and everyone dealing with us were wearing a black shirt....The two most notable no good individuals were two guys that was a little more on the plumped /rounded side one with glasses and one without both wearing black caps. Everything during our entire meal had to be asked twice before we got a response. A mere request for parmesan cheese was met with "you have it on the table" (with attitude). My good sir if the container was had anything left in there I wouldn't be asking you. The food and value is still very good, but service is like they don't want to be there. It will be a while before I go back and give it a shot, such a shame this was a true staple of Corona Queens.More

We went to Parkside restaurant for dinner with the family. We have been there many many times but on this day it was a disappointment. I had Lobster & Seafood Risotto and my son had NY strip (requested rare). It took over an hour to...prepare our dinner and top of that the NY strip top was burnt and over cooked. My risotto, tasted okay but was over marinated. I would like to think the chef had a bad night and this isn't the norm going forward.More

I recently had another awesome dinner and evening at one of my favorite restaurants. I had reservations for 4, and didn't a few minutes at the bar shopping some wine. It was great to see everyone at the restaurant again. We started our night with...an order of fried calamari and 2 orders of myshroom ravioli. The calamari was light and crunchy, Felicia and the ravioli was so delicious with a nude touch of a mushroom sauce on top. For dinner, we ordered a large pork chop, 2 chicken francaise and I had the seafood parkside. The food was amazing. The pork chop was nice and thick and was enjoyed, as well as the chicken Francaise. My seafood marinara parkside was ordered fra Diavlo. It was thoroughly enjoyed, over a bed of linguini. It was good to be back at parkside. The evening was amazing and so was the service!More

I forgot about this amazing meal we had here. This is truly a NYC institution. Worth the trip on the 7 train. Grab the 108th Street bus. Worth the hassle from anywhere. We took the kids after the Hall of Science. Service was amazing! Our...server was on top of every detail on our dinner. Very friendly and warm gentleman. Alfredo, the maitre 'd has years of experience and runs a pretty tight ship. Great guy! Calamari - perfectly crispy and not greasy. The sauce on the side was delicious. Caesar Salad - traditional creamy dressing. Not too much anchovy flavor. Penne A la Vodka - Nice pink sauce with a san marzano base. Good amount of pancetta and not too much garlic. Rigatoni Bolognese - prepared perfectly. Ground beef, mirepoix, tomato sauce, and a touch of heavy cream. Very rich and slightly sweet. Everything ordered was delicious and the kids were impressed. This is more of a special occasion spot for dinner. Being in the neighborhood, made this a special occasion! We drove there and valet parking was easy. Parking is very tricky in the surrounding neighborhood. Reservations are definitely required!More

No exaggeration - this place was amazing. The decor is old school and kind of Queens tacky, nothing trendy about it. But the food and service were excellent. The place is huge so there was adequate room to spread out parties. The service was friendly...and professional, with just the right amount of attention. We got what we needed when we needed it without the constant "How is everything?" that too many restaurants today mistake for good service. The meal started with an enormous complimentary breadbasket. We ordered the carbonara and steak. The pasta, obviously homemade, was cooked perfectly and was rich and absolutely delicious. The steak was also cooked perfectly. They were kind enough to split the dishes for sharing without even being asked, and the portions were large enough for dinner and some leftovers. This was truly one of the best meals I have ever had. The prices are also very reasonable, less than you would pay in Manhattan but so much better.More

Class And Ambience Old World Charm is exactly what Parkside Restaurant is. The service is amazing and you immediately feel welcome upon entering this charming establishment. The attentive but not overpowering service was on the money as usual and the restaurant is never noisy as...some tend to be. The baked clams were perfect as always and my seafood combo special of Sea Bass and Scallops was so delicious. The fresh veggies were not overcooked and you will be tempted to take the bread home for sure. I love the fact that they dont hold back on seasoning as some restaurants tend to do now. There’s a regular crowd of groupies that eat there weekly and once you experience Parkside , you will get why. We both enjoyed sharing the pasta with truffle in cream sauce , no lack of truffles and perfectly seasoned. We both love garlic and so there was no need for either of us to add anything , we took notice of the presentation as well. Throw the W.Watchers point book away because the chocolate truffle cake is a gem , super sweet and a chocolate junkies fix. I’ll be back again and again to Parkside. Thank you to the staff for making it a memorable evening . It is a destination worth going out of your way for . And don’t forget your apple on the way out!!!More

Visited parkside restaurant for my birthday with my family and was not disappointed. Great Italian food, friendly staff with top quality service. The bread basket was laden with a variety of exotic slices, all of which were tasty and delicious. The lamp chops were tender...and melted in your mouth, the best chops I have ever had. The pasty dishes were very good and everyone really enjoyed dinner. Will definitely recommend.More

Came to Parkside for dinner with friends. Even though all of us are native NYers, a few had never been to Parkside. Afterwards they understood those that had been here before recommended Parkside. The food is phenomenal. Awesome Italian food. Everyone loved their meals and...you will too! There is parking on the street or the restaurant does offer valet parking. Stop in and enjoy!More

My husband and I had not been to Parkside in a number of years. The food never disappoints. Excellent imported Parmesan cheese with bruschetta. I loved the meat bread. Grilled swordfish was great and so was the calamari/scumgilli fra diabolically. We were lucky enough to...be seated upstairs where it is very quiet. Service was very attentive.More

I’m not positive but when I was there I saw people from neat casual to business professional. I wouldn’t recommend going in shorts and sandals by any means.

It is best to contact the restaurant directly, but it would be very surprising if they did not have gluten free items!
